I do not choose to discuss it
I’m still fascinated by how they’re going to address this. I couldn’t find the mgoblog scholarship chart through mobile browsing weirdness earlier, but I came across it now, and according to them they are still 9 scholarship players over. Also, with the news that Ohio State had two medical retirements, I was looking to see how Michigan has resolved being 10+ over the 85 scholarship limit this summer and couldn’t find anything.
It would be fabulous if guys showed up to fall camp and figured out they were no longer on scholarship because they don’t have a locker. C’mon, Harbaugh, you can do it (especially without your wrangler).
Edit:
According to this, which is the only thing I can find that seems up to date, they are still seven over the 85 limit.

Harbaugh’s got some awkward calls to make in the next two weeks, unless, like I said, he just forgets that’s something he needs to do because Biff isn’t around anymore.

But don’t worry, they offer this explanation.
SCHOLARSHIP WEIRDNESS: We've stopped caring about the 85-man limit since NIL is able to effectively take care of anyone not on scholarship.
What a bunch of knobs. Once again, they’re basically trying to openly cheat, and let’s hope it goes as well for them as their previous efforts to cheat through southern satellite camps and booster paid summer vacations. I’m sure the players getting their scholarships pulled will be fine with paying their own way through NIL—it’s not like that’s a massive slap in the face to the players ego and wallet.
