The Florida State Orange Bowl shoulda been a layup for them. But nope lol
I don't remember that game. So I visited my local interwebs console and found this:

Right off the bat, I see that Jabrill Peppers was broken and didn't play.
So this was his last play in college:

*ichigan was gifted a pick-6.
Wow - then they came back and took a 30-27 lead with 2 minutes to go in the game.
Hm. Exciting game. Glad the poo team lost it.

I’m still fascinated by how they’re going to address this. I couldn’t find the mgoblog scholarship chart through mobile browsing weirdness earlier, but I came across it now, and according to them they are still 9 scholarship players over.

But don’t worry, they offer this explanation.

What a bunch of knobs. Once again, they’re basically trying to openly cheat, and let’s hope it goes as well for them as their previous efforts to cheat through southern satellite camps and booster paid summer vacations. I’m sure the players getting their scholarships pulled will be fine with paying their own way through NIL—it’s not like that’s a massive slap in the face to the players ego and wallet.
I believe I’ve stumbled on the answer to this; the incoming transfers aren’t on scholarship and have their school paid for through NIL. This avoids the indignity of having your scholarship pulled as it is the arrangement you agree to up front.

It also seems like, if it’s not blatant cheating to get around the 85 scholarship player rule, it’s, at the very least, a loophole a competent NCAA would address because it clearly goes heavily against the spirit and purpose of the 85 scholarship limit.

Kudos to them for finding another creative way to get around the rules, and also fuck them forever.

I had a phone call with a new client today, turns out he went to TSUN. We had some fun banter and he is every bit as big a fan of his team as I am of the Buckeyes. Well, here’s his take on the game this year. All their players are returning, so they will be much better than last year. They have a generational QB, and will make a serious run for the natty. TTUN in a blowout. I’m guessing the DFBIA is unanimous in these opinions. Sheeeeeeeyat.

Edit: Fuck ‘em.

Did you ask him to clarify his interpretation of generational? Are the parameters based on a specific elementary school in SW Detroit?
