11 B1G schools had evidence of the porn pony buying tickets to games all over the conference. At least 1 of those had video evidence of someone videoing the game on his phone. Several outlets deemed reputable news outlets (not YouTube, not Mike & Rico) were reporting on this. There was video evidence of the porn pony being on the CMU sideline. There was enough smoke that if Pettiti didn't know there was a potential problem then it was because he didn't want to know. Was there enough coming out to convict? No. Was there enough to know he should be taking it seriously and looking into it? Yes. And it's convenient you cherry picked YouTube and Mike & Rico, while ignoring the sports news outlets I mentioned.
And I imagine MSU and Purdue might disagree that Harbaugh & Co. should be able to cheat against them but not against Ped St. or tOSU. The hammer should be dropped as soon as the B1G determines cheating has occurred, and that should be done as expeditiously as possible.
And now he’s wasted 2 weeks by not being involved in the first place.

I am convinced I am not going to get what I want before this season plays out, but here is what I think is the worst case scenario - and it isn't all that bad.

1. Harbaugh will be suspended for two games - likely the next two. Sends the message that the powers that be know what is going on and more is coming. They will have that hanging over their heads while they play out the string. It will also send a message to their incoming class that they need to think twice.

2. During the off season the NCAA will come back and call for the forfeiting of games - perhaps three seasons worth. Since this is competitive advantage I don't see it being vacates. They will also miss the post season for a year or two and maybe some schollie hits.

3. Whatever UM gets out of this season will be all they get for some time. If you look at their depth chart they have starters on the offense alone who use up their eligibility this season (that experience is one reason they are playing so well). If McCarthy leaves they will bring back one sophomore TE. With the transfer rule in place and a post season ban it will be a long time before they are back.

4. The stench will stay with the University for even longer.

Or am I dreaming?
Nah that’s roughly what I think too worse case but only that they win it all as well. That’s really worse case. Then again if they win it all and then they take it all away it might make the punishment more harsh because of what they stole.

I think McCarthy has to think of going pro as well after the year.

If this all ends up with no more Harbaugh, scholarships lost, bowl bans, and forfeitures that’s all you can ask for.

Only thing id add is if we suspend Harbaugh and maybe the others for 2 weeks… if more comes out maybe that gives us that big prize we want which is their season called off. There’s more out there and it’s only a matter of time before someone else gets the goods

Good point. Another shoe changes everything. But with all the leaks it should have dropped by now.

I love these pedo-buster videos, and the BS dudes say trying to get out of trouble.

They’re pretty entertaining however one issue is, since they’re amateurs and not law enforcement officers, they often make procedural hiccups that would prevent any proof or evidence they collect from these encounters with predators from being used in court. There’s been a few high profile Internet “celebrities” who got exposed by one of these guys, but because of some fuck ups on the end of the predator hunter, the perp was allowed to get off scot free because the state couldn’t use the evidence collected. It would be better if they worked with law enforcement more often, but a lot of them might lack the patience or interest in doing that, since they can do it in a more sensational manner.

As Dan Lanning would say, they do it for clicks while law enforcement does it for wins (in court).

The Constitution only protects criminals against state action, so I don’t know how evidence gathered by people who are not working for law enforcement would be inadmissible due to any sort of “illegal” search or entrapment. Are they fucking up chain of custody or something?

The big problem for Petitti here is that he’s trying to play the “I need facts” card when he’s literally been given the facts by the coaches and ADs who are demanding action. They handed over the ticket transaction records and photo/video of who was in those seats and that they were recording.

There’s hard evidence that exists and has been turned over and he can only play both sides for so long before one of these programs starts leaking the hard evidence to force his hand. And if that happens, Petitti is absolutely cooked.

In my mind, the ‘big prize’ is not tCun’s 2023 season being called off, because the TV money won’t let that happen. I think you’re being unrealistic about there being any chance that their season will be shut down.

In my mind, the most we can hope for (in season) is the forfeiting of their 2023 conference games that were played before the scandal broke. Having 4 losses in the standings keeps tCun out of the CFP, so they wouldn’t be able to win anything substantial that they’d have taken away later. And it prevents CFP final rankings team #5 from getting screwed out of a chance to win it all.

If evidence exists that tickets were bought for those 4 opponents’ games before tCun played them, and Stalions is standing next to the coordinators in those games reacting to the calls from the other sideline, that should be enough to make tCun forfeit those 4 games right away.

Suspending Harbaugh and the coordinators for the Penn State game and/or The Game is a bonus since that makes it harder for the cheaters to win out. And of course, having the refs call something any time a DB puts his hands on Marv, and any time an OL grabs JT or any other Buckeye DL would be a welcome sight in The Game.

I don’t think Petitti checking with the NCAA before doing something is a bad sign. I think he’s making sure what solid evidence exists before he decides how hard to swing the hammer.

Oh yeah I agree they aren’t getting banned from the CFP More than likely. I’m just saying them being allowed to play and then winning it all is a worse case for us lol

I hope the commissioner of the Big Ten is busy in administrative shit and negotiating TV contracts to get more exposure for women’s sports, hockey, etc, and not reading message boards and refreshing Twitter every 5 minutes hunting his next dopamine fix.

I’m sorry but all this “criticism” of Petitti is misplaced. He most likely, legitimately, thought this was a much smaller issue until the coaches set him straight yesterday. Folks, he’s not spending 14 hours of his day for two straight weeks reading about this stuff like we all are. And if he is, he should be fucking fired for that.
I'm with you, I'm not sure why people thought that Pettiti was just going to levy punishment immediately on scUM. I get it, that WE"RE OSU fans and hate scUM, but he was hired based on his TV past. He was brought in to increase B1G exposure, and punishing one of your biggest cash cows is bad for business. Sorry, but it is when you take off the scarlet colored glasses. Pettiti isn't aligned with any program, so he's looking objectively, and we should all want that, and I think we were all fooling ourselves if we thought a punishment would come down this year. I'll be happy if a significant punishment comes down soon, but I'm not holding my breath that anything will this season. Please feel free to roast if I'm wrong, but I'm being very cautiously optimistic with anything regarding college football, as there is no type of guidelines for any infraction. And there's also no timetable for anything as well, the college governing body has always been a joke.

At this point JuggalOno goes all-in on Simple Jim. He had the chance for leadership and passed. Now, it's too late to get ahead of this and do the right thing and suspend/whack Simple Jim and his coaches. Now, he faces two possible scenarios. 1. Simple Jim and tsun ride this out in which case he's a hero. 2. Simple Jim goes down and the p.r. hit for the tsun is magnitudes greater than if they'd come clean and suspended/whacked Simple Jim in the beginning. If it's the latter, look for him to be gone before the end of 2024. If it's the former, look for him to be gone as soon as Simple Jim reverts to "I don't have your signs" Simple Jim. Honestly, I'm almost as eager to watch that clown's downfall as I am Simple Jim's.

How about this, this thing many call "karma" but I call the law of sowing and reaping?

ttun loses to PSU, or loses to Maryland, and lose to OSU, and then are knocked out of the playoffs.

Then we sit back and enjoy the scenario while awaiting the punishment for cheating to commence?

To your point, the pedo buster who took this video (Boopac Shakur) was shot and killed later that night in a confrontation Pontiac. Not sure if it was related to pedo busting or something else.
