It seems strange that none of the networks are even talking about this right now. I feel like during the Urban debacle the big ten network and ESPN led every freaking broadcast with the latest news. I live in Iowa and my Hawkeye friends seem to have no real idea what the story is with TCUN.

Des is talking about it on Gameday. Really defending the shield by going on about Stallions being "obsessed" and the manifesto, and using his own money to fund this.

Dude... he made 55k a year. I'm not knocking people making that much money at all. I don't make a hell of a lot more (62 and change) but I don't drop 15K worth of tickets and travel in a season.

Lewis Black said it best - "At what point, do we see something, and just agree on what the fuck REALITY really is".

This feels different. The discovery was handed to the NCAA late last week. B1G sends out notice immediately and NCAA is on tcun’s campus the following week. Subjectively speaking, this is some warp speed stuff as far as the NCAA is concerned.
Don't forget the role that Vegas may be playing in this. This is the first major scandal since sports betting became legal and the sign stealing likely (perhaps clearly) affected point spreads. They have to act quickly and decisively to make sure their customer base can trust the lines and keep the bets rolling in.

No mention of it on BTN today.
And last night on ESPNs around the horn they brought it up and laughed about it like it's no big deal.
Pisses me off.

Probably shouldn’t have promoted him to full-time and attached him to the hip of your coordinators in every game then. Also should have probably provided some more oversight to the illegal sign stealing operation. I guess it’s no surprise that he is behind, but that argument is three to four steps behind the evidence that continues to come out.

Desmond Howard... still a fucking apologetic clown.
Still and always has been a douche. Trying to frame this as a rogue staffer despite the evidence. True Michigan Man…always deflect and blame others…
I love when he stated now there are no excuses going forward for the rest of the teams on the skunkbear’s schedule. Like everything is suddenly equal…forgot the cheaters can just “coach”. While the opponents will have to change/alter communication, etc. Desmond is a freaking assclown….

I love how many of you confuse “rogue” with “rouge.”

This is whats been borderline angering during this.

They have zero concern for their illegal activity and instead focus on how the information got out.

So instead of “damn we fucked up” they’re going the route of “we need to find out who gave us up”.

But at this point, they have to just hold rank because they’re fucked with how much information the NCAA was presented. At least this way maybe just maybe they get to finish this year out.

I still don’t think they’ll get to play post season ball but this is truly a last dance situation.

It really is. Especially considering none of the information that’s came out on them is illegally obtained (to the NCAA or the law) they are basically holding out hope though that “somebody hacked them” or some of the ludicrous shit they’ve been claiming. They know that’s possibly their only out here, it’s a sad display of desperation and denial.

Vegas is already the biggest sponsor/booster, albeit a mostly hidden one

they're about to be arguably the biggest partner of the conference, and not just indirectly, but loudly and in public. and you can't do that if teams are altering games for multiple conferences in ways Vegas was wildly incapable of handling.

tsun is never dropping football. They're going to get nuked by the ncaa and b1g and be a mid-tier (say average 5 losses a year) program for at least a decade. The key will be a two or three year post-season ban. Disqualify them from the playoffs just as the expanded format is giving a legit chance for 20 teams a year, and you kill shot that program in recruiting.

They are gonna be a 1-3 wins a season type team the first couple of years if the whole coaching staff gets nuked. No players worth a crap would stick around, they’d basically have to form a roster with low level recruits and transfers (probably a lot of MAC-Indiana/Rutgers level guys) What happens after that would depend on if they could convince a somewhat promising coach to take on a gigantic rebuild.
