This is that gray area Jimmuh likes to brag about living in. We shall see if it works for him this time.
Yes. Nobody really knows at this point if much of any punishment will be handed down for any of this. So many optimistic people here - and how adorable! We are Ohio sports fans. Ohio against the world. It would not be the first time righteousness failed to prevail for our side.

Think about it this way. If someone gave you insider trading info and you got caught using it how well would the “uh I had no clue I didn’t obtain the info myself so what did I do wrong?” Defense work?
Good point and great analogy.

Punishment is typically you’re bared from trading again, you pay back your illgotten gains, and are fined a large amount.

In other words, the coaches should get fired, they should vacate their wins and the school should pay a massive fine.

I think they should have to pay back any money they’ve received from the conference for their share of things the past 2 season. Considering how much they compromised everything with all of this.

To say that Xichigan's infractions are minor is like saying the Elephant Man was just a little bit puffy over one eye.

So what’s the desired outcome here? TSUN becomes irrelevant like Northwestern, or drops football altogether like the University of Chicago?

I’d say irrelevant. Watching them suffer through something worse than the rich Rod era that lasts much longer than the rich Rod era lasted would be much more satisfying than them just not playing again.

This is the biggest corruption and game fixing incident in sports history.

IMO you fine them to cover their TV revenue loss, you end their season now, fire the coaches, and then vacate the wins.

Anything don’t post this season is rather pointless and lacks any punch IMO because the majority of the team is going pro (coach included).

If they want to punish those involved they do it now.

Drops football, disbands the athletic department, razes the stadium, salts the ground, forfeits every game played in '21, 22, and '23, forfeits the '20 game they chickened out of, and pays a massive fine to the B1G. Help me guys, did I miss anything?
