Starting to piss me off that our boy knew about it and still got it handed to him tbh.
What sucks about this type of cheating, it takes no effort or extra time from the players on the cheating side, which is very limited by the NCAA. It's all on the coaches sending in the perfect call based on the decrypted signals.

On the victims side though, you now have to spend your limited time with players installing a new signal system instead of getting better at blocking and tackling.

And in our case, it sounds like they might have gotten the signs they needed anyways by stealing practice footage.

On field results that

Defy Vegas Odds more than anything else in recent years
Defy DSA spreadsheets more than anything else in recent years
Defy CFB Nerd’s model (more elaborate version of DSA) more than anything else in recent years

All of this completely, neatly explained by one thing

The next person who says that we have to withhold judgment until the investigation plays out is just the next person who is either virtue signaling, smoke blowing, or just not paying attention

It would be obvious that this were true even without all of the rumors and reports of the mountains of evidence

Innocent Until Proven Guilty?

Sure

They’ve been proven guilty to anyone with a shred of intellectual honesty

Of course the NCAA and the FBI and every other authority with boots on the ground in AA need to finish their investigations. That does not enjoin anyone else to close their eyes to the obvious facts.

Every pundit, national or otherwise, who says that anyone but the ncaa and the courts needs to withhold judgement until the facts are in… such people should never again be allowed to speak while adults are having a conversation
I REALLY need to learn how to make gifs. The Ferris Beuller's Day Off scene with Jeanie cracking her knuckles and saying, "Shred him," should be everywhere, but as far as my searches have gone, no one has ever made one.

“The guy (Stalions) was wrong a couple of times,” one TCU staff member said. “We rewatched the TV version of the game. You can see him standing next to the defensive coordinator. He tells something to the coordinator and he points in the air to mean pass. You can see the playsheet he’s holding with our hand signs on them.”

Here's my educated guess: The sign stealing scheme was clearly designed to win games, but someone affiliated with the program (coach, staffer, player) had to have noticed that Michigan was not only winning nearly every game but also covering the spread at an unprecedented rate (at least with respect to Big Ten games, i.e. games that were "scouted"). Said person(s) saw a money making opportunity and started betting on Michigan to cover – essentially reverse point shaving. Cheating to win games is against the rules of the sport. Cheating to win money is against the rules of law. I'm guessing that someone in Ann Arbor is looking at some jail time.
I‘ve been thinking about this, and if someone on the coaching staff made an online bet, they probably committed wire fraud. That is not something you want to be found guilty of. I wonder who will be the first TSUN staffer to agree to testify in order to avoid a long prison sentence.

Once again, complete speculation here, but if they discovered examples of videos obtained in violation of NCAA rules and further discovered evidence that members of the staff were not only using these videos to steal signs but then placed bets on those same games online, that might be illegal.

I'm not really a gambling man but someone in an earlier post likened this to insider trading. I'd imagine that's the illegal part as far as the FBI might be concerned.

Someone here with greater knowledge of what's legal and illegal when bets are placed can expand on this.
I think it would be wire fraud. And I’m guessing the gambling industry will use any influence they have to make sure the feds put this under a microscope. Someone will roll over.

I was being facetious.

I don't really want to punish any kids. Harbaugh though I want to see him fumble over his words and give a 1000 yard stare when he's told it's over
I’m hoping for an arrest and perp walk out of the postgame presser after losing to OSU 99-0. And in case you’re wondering, it’s 99 because OSU went for 2 after the last touchdown.

The college football nerds brought up a good point regarding Ohio State adjusting their calls because they knew UM was stealing them; even if Ohio State knew the full depths of the cheating and threw everything they had at switching up their signals leading up to the game, it’s still a massive competitive advantage for UM because Ohio State had to waste time doing that instead of normal game preparation.
