Oh man, things are really going well...

Folks are gonna play this off like he's a journeyman, and yes it probably DOES have something to do with Poggi leaving; but we don't have a lot of pass rush on the roster and this guy was in line for SIGNIFICANT playing time this year.

We're starting to lose players who had a future at Michigan, at roughly the same time the coach appears to be gone (if anyone will have him.)

So yeah; things are pretty sweet in Ann Arbor right now. Honest.

It's time for Simple Jim to put his name in the Transfer Portal.

So he's set to be on his 6th school in his college career, pretty freaking crazy!

Lol the same folks had high hopes for him for 2023 just a couple of weeks ago. He actually performed ok enough for a guy who transferred in very late for 2022, the potential/athleticism is clearly still there. Will be funny when he likely ends up at some SEC school. Even funnier if he has a decent 2023 season at said SEC school.

Dawg I do not watch college football to be happy. And I hate your team; like I hate your team so much - do you have any idea how much 2 and 17 hurt? Still hurts even though we're on a two game winning streak? Don't say "under Coop" because this was MUCH worse. I'm FROM Michigan; how do you folks feel about Wolverines fans from Dayton? Cause that's how I'd feel about an OSU fan from Detroit. Not happening.

I just hate my team too. PS: I'm also a Lions fan. This is just how I consume football.

I want five stars, championship trophies and long introspective articles about walk ons and our decades-long journey to back to back national championships. Is Michigan delivering those things? No.

Edit: and as for the "hanging out with your own fanbase" part, I'm just gonna say that the most popular Michigan forum has a blacklist of college football reporters who cover Michigan because they're not positive enough and report "rumors." It's a philosophical difference that makes posting on that forum, for me, untenable. If being MAD at Michigan is a bannable offense, then I can't post there. Why? Cause I am more or less always mad at Michigan. I'm a fan. We don't win enough. It's as simple as that.

As a Cleveland native, i think i can understand this a bit. The Browns reincarnation mistake happened around the same time as Tressel arrived in Cbus.

Even if the Browns got their act together briefly - and it seemed like they might have for a moment there with Baker - in the back of my head i always knew it was fools gold, would promptly fall apart, and there would be no trophies.

You're stuck in that mode/mindset, even with successful seasons.

Michigan WR Cornelius Johnson to return for final season

Michigan wide receiver Cornelius Johnson, who led the team in touchdown receptions in 2022, will return for his final season this coming fall.

Johnson, who announced his return Sunday night on social media, had six touchdowns on 32 receptions for 499 yards, ranking as Michigan's No. 2 wide receiver. Michigan will lose leading wide receiver Ronnie Bell and tight end Luke Schoonmaker, who finished second on the team with 35 receptions.

The 6-foot-3, 208-pound Johnson joins several prominent Michigan players who will return in 2023, including running back Blake Corum, guard Trevor Keegan and guard Zak Zinter, who also announced his return Sunday. Valiant Management Group, founded by former Michigan running back Jared Wangler, started the One More Year Fund, geared toward raising money to help bring back Corum, Keegan, Zinter and Johnson. The fund has raised more than $100,000, which will go to the players.

Well... if we win this year we'll have earned it.

Ttun is walking into the game at 11-0 and there's really no doubt about that.

Their offense should be one of the best. Not great considering our track record lately against great offenses.

Going to require our best game of the year that's for sure.

Edited: forgot that they'll likely play at Penn State for their white out. So that's 50/50 for them but vs a first year starter in Aller? I think they'll win that.

Big shocker that guys who would be very late rounders or lucky to get drafted at all like Johnson, Keegan, Barrett & Zinter are coming back for another year.
