2023 Bowl Games Discussion

In Hard Rock Stadium, but a CFP Championship Game, technically not the Orange Bowl.

Although that technicality won’t factor into fans deciding whether or not to make another trip to the Miami area.
Man, to me personally, this is sad. Hell, the Rose Bowl, the Granddaddy of them all, the game that was every Big 10s goal, has become an "also-ran". Same with the Orange Bowl. On many levels it sucks.

That was what it was all about - beat TCUN and go to Pasadena. The national title was just something voters handed out at the end.

Now the whole season is about the playoff. Rivalries don't mean as much to younger fans and it's going to trend more in that direction.

I didn’t like the Rose Bowl. I wanted tOSU to play for MNCs without having to play a California team in Pasadena, which hurt the teams playing for titles in ‘70, ‘72, ‘74, ‘75, and ‘79. That Granddaddy BS meant nothing to me.

Aw, c'mon Bill, The Big 10 owned them (PAC-NN) before the 70s. They were talking about pulling out of it! I remember that one year OSU had to play Georgia in Atlanta. When was that? Oh, right, LAST YEAR.

Warm weather teams will ALWAYS get the home field advantage. So, until the Lake Effect Bowl in Cleveland or the Chilli Bowl in Cinci become a reality we will be at that disadvantage.

I remember when Duh U won their first NC it was literally a home game in the Orange Bowl against 11-0 Nebraska.

If I was a Corn fan I'd still be pissed at Osborne for going for two late. Kick the XP and you're undefeated, undisputed champs (Miami was 10-1 coming in). It wasn't courageous, it was dumb.

You wanna play Louisville in a meaningless game and run the chance that without Harrison, Henderson, half the front end of the defense, with D Scott as the blocking tight end, you get beat? By a city college?

Dropping down to a two loss ACC team (probably three loss) by then?

The Bucks aren't going to slip that far down in the polls - no worse than five or six - I don't see any real love for FSU without their QB.

Frankly, Ryan Day has a massive task in front of him. How do you get this team fired up to play in any bowl game, especially with so many probable draft picks deciding not to risk injury? If it weren't for the extra days of practice, this game has no utility from the Buckeye POV.

how do you think Missouri felt having to go out there for the Los Angeles Christmas Festival? Actually you can tell us, how did they feel?
