It's almost like they expected people to laugh at them, so they tried to backtrack a bit:

While Brady and McNamara aren't being compared on level of play, the situation in which both players are in is similar.

I agree that it's a silly article and a silly topic. Okay, stupid article and a stupid topic. But it's the off-season, and this actually seems like a lazy article. "I have 2 hours to get something submitted, and this is the only idea I have."
I'm glad I'm not a journalist. I'd probably just make stuff up.

Also, HAHAHAHA!!! Why the hell is anyone talking to John Navarre?

Because 90s. It fits a pattern. Talk about a time they were winning all those NCs + their streak in The Game in the 90s = Why Michigan is God.

From his arrogant comments on twitter, it's clear that Reno Jesus has gone all-in on the culture up there. Harbaugh is setting him up to fail with the old-timey offense and quarterback controversy just waiting to happen if he doesn't play perfectly. Let him fail. Let them all fail.

https://fbschedules.com/college-football-strength-of-schedule-2022-win-loss-method/

93. Notre Dame: 73-76, (49.0%)

112. Michigan: 71-81, (46.7%)

Ohio State, Sparty, Ped and Crab Cake account for half of tsun's opponents' wins. How god awful is the rest of that schedule, and not a single P5 OOC opponent. I still think they lose 4 in the regular season: Ohio State, Iowa, Sparty-OR-Ped and one game that they have no business losing. That entire program has spent the entire year smelling their own farts and telling themselves how wonderful they are, that a collapse of epic proportions just has to be in the cards.

The rest of the thread is pure comedy too.

They also still can't help themselves from creaming over Mike Sainristil the former below 500th ranked 3* who has been shifted back and forth from WR and CB a million times already. He has 36 catches in 3 seasons. But EXPLOSIVE!

The careers so far of listed players above

Ronnie Bell 83 catches 1,380 yards 5 TD in 4 years

Darrius Clemons, True Freshman, was the #24 WR in his recruiting class

Andrel Anthony 12 catches 248 yards 3 TD as a Fresh. Was a low 3* recruit. #81 WR in his class

Cornelius Johnson 60 catches 942 yards 7 TD in 3 seasons

Amorion Walker, True Freshman, Low 3* recruit #72 WR in his class

Erick All 51 catches 529 yards 2 TD in 3 seasons

AJ Henning - 29 catches 274 yards in 2 seasons

Roman Wilson 34 catches 542 yards 4 TD in 2 seasons

Donovan Edwards - Didnt do much as a freshman

Thats the HIGHEST POTENTIAL OFFENSE IN THE BIG 10!

For reference Jaxon Smith-Njigba's 2021 season was 95 catches 1,606 yards 9 TD. One season far eclipses the career of any of those guys.

So.... the passing offense that ttun is set to be the most explosive offense in the conference - if not the country? Really? They must have been at the top of the B1G last year right? No? Oh yeah, that was tOSU. Ttun must have been second then, right? No? Third? How about 7th......

upload_2022-8-4_12-30-41.png

Well their QB must have been ranked higher, right?

upload_2022-8-4_12-31-33.png

Hmm.. their WRs? Not really....

Smelling their own farts and awarding themselves trophies based on nothing but potential.... its the ttun way......

The "potential" part is highly questionable too. Most of those guys have done nothing or close to nothing and they don't have anywhere near a high enough recruiting ranking to justify hyping them based on supposed potential alone with the production to back it.

Ronnie Bell is the "best" of the group currently and he would be hard pressed to even make Ohio State's WR rotation at all.

There's also this new hilarious attitude by DFBIA that every other contender has "major question marks" but they seem to think scUM does not

They actually expect them to plug and play replace every top player they lost (and coaches) with zero decrease in production. Hell a good amount of them even venture to claim the defense will be EVEN BETTER. Hilarious.

One fucking rabbit out of a hat season out of 7 and now it's a sure thing every year

In their (dfbia) defense, they won a lot of games last year with a strong running game and stout defense. When they did get behind and had to abandon the run, they must have really lit it up, passing for like 400 yds and 4 tds, right?

I can see why they're so high on Anthony. He torched that Georgia D for a 35 yd TD... wonder why they didn't throw it to him more after that?

Oh..... Now I see.....

Yep, teams will be more prepared for that ancient offense this year. They aren't the new Wisconsin either, it finally worked ONE TIME out of 7. Every other year their offense sputtered against any D with a pulse. They just happened to hit jackpot last year with a perfect set of circumstances going their way. Until they do it multiple years in a row its nothing more than a outlier.

They arent going to have the luxury of a top flight defense either, theres no way the defense does not drop off, especially pass defense considering they lost their flash in the pan pass rushers and by far their best DB. The offense is going to be forced to press the issue more against good teams, you can't just methodically run the ball all the time when the other team is scoring at will.

IMO Haskins is going to be a bigger loss than DFBIA thinks. He was by far the workhorse. I don't think Corum is going to be a 270 carry bruiser who wears down defenses like Haskins did.

Watching that offense last year and thinking "Oh yea theres a wide open speed attack" is a perfect example of why they are the DFBIA.

this quote sums it up

"Michigan’s passing game has been better in efficiency and explosiveness than raw totals."

Yes your sluggish old old time passing game really is explosive, the actual results are lying to us.
