No attrition = no young talent pushing the older guys. It’s actually a bad sign unless you’ve given up on being competitive more often than every 3-4 years. They really are quite dumb.

Yep

The secondary especially is laughable. Mediocre old guys like DJ Turner and Germon Green seem locked into starting spots (With Mike Sainristil who keeps bouncing from WR to DB slotted at Nickelback). One would think you'd start questioning why those young guys can't beat them out. Not DFBIA though.

i guess they are expecting to find the offensive equivalents of Hutchinson/Ojabo. Rabbits out of a hat. It’s a bunch of generic 3* or higher rated guys who have been mediocre-average (like Cornelius Johnson) that have never really flashed much are all of a sudden going to be JSN caliber.

Corum is the only one who has earned any real praise. And he is likely to see some kind of drop off without his battering mate Haskins wearing defenses down.

They have every right to be so confident going into the season. Because they're basing it all on how last year went. I think anyone with any football sense can see that they had and needed a perfect storm to beat OSU, but scUM fans don't care about that, they're still riding high like a guy who had sex once over a decade ago and still cherishes that moment(yet he forgets that moment was a 300lb whale, with a massive mole and 4 teeth)

I think they're hoping that Edwards is their next great scUM RB, and Corum is holding the place for him before he ascends.

Confidence is ok. But when it comes to basing it on last year, looking at last year and saying "LOOK AT THESE EXPLOSIVE WRS AND PASSING OFFENSE" is peak DFBIA.
