BTN appears to be on the Michigan bandwagon claiming the talent level between the two schools to be closer than most realize. Perhaps a strong Michigan gives them a better preseason story, perhaps they believe it. I still say they play no one for their first five games and only Iowa and Penn State prior to the Game. I anticipate they will be undefeated or one loss rolling into the Shoe. Decent QBs, decent RBs, solid O Line, whack coach. I believe the Bucks defense will be much better, but I think the game will be closer than we BP folks anticipate.

Just like how ESPN pumps up SEC schools that probably aren't so great to try to make the whole league look better, the BTN is going to do the same thing given the opportunity. Of course they aren't going to come out and say "Yes 2021 was most likely a outlier and not a trend for Michigan". Gotta play to your audience.

Their schedule is comically weak though. If they can't crank out 10 wins with that cream puff mash up it would be a big L.

Will all of you stop predicting 10 or 11wins for these fucksticks.

  1. Wheels come off the bus with some sick kid voodoo in Iowa City
  2. Sparty or Ped gets them at home
  3. Rutgers finally gets them

That'd be--by my cypherin'--3 losses going into The Game.

Maryland i'm thinking might be tougher for them than credit is given. Especially after the stroking they will get after they breeze through that cotton candy of a first 3 games. There's going to be a ton of false bravado after those first games.

Their passing offense should be pretty good and scUMs secondary is going to be mush without Hutchinson/Ojabo at the QB damn near every play.

I think they're, at best, a 4 loss team. At best they lose one of Iowa/Ped/Sparty and they get tagged in an upset by Maryland, Rutgers, or Nebraska. Lose The Game, get blown out by A&M or Auburn in a bowl game and that's 4.

We can all hope they drop some games as a highly mediocre team should, but with their joke of a schedule, they might blunder their way into ten wins even with their mediocrity. It will be up to Ohio State to put them back in their place.

Seems like they are due for a stumble or two after some of the fortunate events they received last year.

They BARELY escaped Nebraska and Ped State last year and had a game long struggle with Rutgers. Without those star pieces on defense I don't think they are as fortunate this year

Just askin'... why are you so positive that Michigan will be shit based on close calls to Penn State and Nebraska when those same two teams played the Bucks tough too? And Purdue laid 31 on OSU's defense. Then there's the loss to Oregon - at home - the more than 487 yards to Michigan - and 467 to Utah in the Rose Bowl. But one change in DC and the defense is rock solid, 9th to 1st in the Big Ten in one year? I'm not buying it. Yes, the team is loaded with talent; yes, the defense could hardly be as bad as it was, yes, they should be able to outscore Michigan in Columbus. But Michigan, not unlike the 2002 Buckeyes, got a monkey off their back. They'll open the season with an easy schedule and I see only one other team on their schedule with comparable talent until they get to Columbus and that's Penn State and they catch them and Little Brother at home.
