Hawaii probably wouldn’t win more than 2-3 games with a FCS schedule. They are legit one of the worst FBS teams you will see. I’m sure DFBIAs stiffy is getting even harder over this though.

McCarthy was 11/12 with 3 TDs. Crown him

As you can see, it's not just the DFBIA who has the stiffy for McCarthy, but national writers who want clicks:

Just reading the heading on these 2 articles is nauseating, and makes you wonder if these guys realized they were playing Hawaii and not UGA

The first 2 takeaways show that McCarthy has been crowned the September Heisman after one start. I swear no one realized there were playing one of the worst CFB teams

Remember when Joe Bauserman went 12/16 with 3 TDs and 0 INT (and a rushing TD) against Akron in his first start?

I don't recall anyone anointing him the 2nd coming or a HEISMAN contender.

DFBIA has gone FULL all in on that with McCarthy. Because of his performance against a lower FCS level caliber defense.

Now he gets UCONN

Who lost 48-14 to Syracuse last week. Uconn's defense made Syracuse QB Garrett Shrader, who is a average passer at best look like a elite one. 20/23 3 TD 0 INT. Shrader's career completion % is 57 for reference.

Uconn also lost 31-20 to Utah State, a team who just got pummeled 35-7 by Weber State on Saturday.

The hilarious hype will surely get even bigger after this.

Urban Meyer sees 'big separation' between Michigan and top-three ranked teams

When it comes to the top three teams in the country, legendary coach and Fox Sports analyst Urban Meyer sees the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide and his former employer Ohio State residing at the top of the sport early in the season. He views Michigan as the next best team but noted that there’s a “big separation” there.

“I see the three schools and it’s not rocket science here but Georgia, who completely, I don’t want to say surprised me but they are on fire,” Meyer said to the Big Ten Network. “They beat Oregon in every which way two weeks ago. I see Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia and there’s a big separation until someone else starts coming on.

“The team up in Ann Arbor, the Wolverines, I went back and I watched their video and the teams they’re playing are really struggling. And they obviously have the quarterback issue going on. They’re going with J.J. (McCarthy) and boy does he look athletic, he looks fast, he has a great release.”

Michigan has been dominant through its first two outings but there’s a key difference when comparing schedules with the three teams Meyer tabbed as better. Georgia thumped Pac-12 contender Oregon, Alabama prevailed against Big-12 contender Texas in an instant classic and Ohio State opened the season against Notre Dame. Thus far, Michigan has faced Colorado State and Hawaii.

“You talk about unchallenged. Hawaii, they’ve gone through some transition and i’ve never seen so many guys open and unchallenged on offense like that,” Meyer said. “As their schedule starts to become more difficult, we’ll see exactly where the Wolverines land. But you’d have to keep them up there somewhere close to that; they just haven’t been challenged yet.”

Exactly. They LOVE calling Ohio State "overrated" and whining about being ranked behind us because we "barely" beat Notre Dame and they have destroyed their competition.

Put Ohio State up against Colorado State and Hawaii and they likely hang 60 on both and see at least the same defensive output.

Arkansas State is not good by any means but they are at least somewhat competent at basic football. Colorado State, Hawaii and Uconn might legit be the 3 worst FBS teams.

They get PSU and Sparty back to back in October, both at home and with a bye week between them (Sparty also has their bye that week, so its no advantage for either team). If they get past both of those games, they will likely be undefeated for The Game - and will absolutely be running their pie holes non-stop....

Short Memory/Long Passes

I want a QB who can read any defense
I want a QB who can throw with the best
I want a QB with moves like jump cuts
And wheels that burn like cigarettes

I want a QB with the right allocations
Who is fast, and thorough, and for pulling has knack
He's flummoxing all the edges
He's leaving them in the dust
He's running to the end zone
He'll never take a sack
I want a QB with a short memory who hits long passes

I want a QB who takes the lead early (takes it early)
I want a QB who ices it late (ices it late)
I want a QB with undeniable potential (undeniable)
Who uses his legs, to make pocket escapes

With a winged helmet (hey), that shines like justice (ho)
And eye black that is dark (hey), like tinted glass (ho)
He is fast (hey), thorough, and for pulling has knack (ho)
He is running to the end zone (hey) and never taking sacks
I want a QB with a short memory who hits long, long passes

JJ, JJ, JJ
JJ, JJ, JJ

JJ, JJ, JJ
JJ, JJ, JJ
JJ, JJ, JJ

We want a QB with a smooth throwing motion (throwing motion)
We want a QB who can make it to the edge (to the edge)
At Michigan Stadium, we will see him beat Sparty (see him beat Sparty)
We will revere him when he brings us Mel's head

He wants an offense (hey) with a few run pass options (ho)
He wants an offense (hey) that will befuddle defenders (ho)
He's changing his game (hey) from pocket to dual threat (ho)
We're trading our conference winner (hey) for a Heisman contender
I want a QB with a short memory who hits long, long passes

it really isn’t rocket science. Bama, Georgia, OSU, and Clemson have recruited at a high level for the past several years. I stated that it was only a matter of time when Kirby got his national title. Those 4 teams are so far above the others just in talent. LSU will have a magical season from time to time. Texas A&M just signed the best class ever so it will be interesting to see what they do in 2024. If other teams want to enter the fray, then they have to recruit better. If not, you will continue to see the same teams over and over again in the playoffs.

In terms of being challenged, it may be awhile. The big ten seems watered down this year (especially the west). Still waiting to see what PSU and Michigan State are made of especially when Sparty takes on Washington (Washington is the betting favorite which interesting) this weekend.

In terms of JJ vs Cade, anybody could see it coming. JJ has the better arm, more athletic, can run the read option better, can extend plays, and can put more pressure on a defense than Cade. Cade will have accept his backup role and then transfer after the season. Playing 2 quarterbacks rarely works. You guys would know from the 2015 early season.

I don't think anyone outside of UGA, due to their performance vs Oregon has looked particularly over impressive so far.

I think about any capable team would have similar results as scUM did against Hawaii and MTSU

Considering Hawaii gave up 63 to Vanderbilt and Colorado State struggled to have much offense and got sacked NINE times by a Middle Tennessee State team that got blown out 44-7 by James Madison in their first game. Any objective person can see that. However DFBIA takes these results as them being a sure elite team.
