Rank the Dawgs #1 you cowards!
College football rankings: Projecting the AP Top 25 rankings after Week 1
2. GEORGIA BULLDOGS
Week 1 result: Beat Oregon, 49-3
After garnering three first-place votes in the preseason AP Poll, Georgia was most impressive in Week 1 with a 46-point beatdown of Oregon. Stetson Bennett kicked off his own Heisman campaign with a career-best passing performance and the Bulldogs' new-look defense -- with eight new starters -- stuffed the Ducks at the line of scrimmage and forced Bo Nix into several turnovers. Georgia was so impressive in its first game since winning it all, there could be a surge to No. 1 very soon should this level of elite play continue. Kirby Smart has to be pleased with that performance.
3. OHIO STATE BUCKEYES
Week 1 result: Beat Notre Dame, 21-10
Buckeyes coach Ryan Day wanted no parts of questioning pertaining to his offensive struggles following Ohio State's defensive-dominant victory over the fifth-ranked Fighting Irish. Ohio State trailed 10-7 in the third quarter before scoring the game's final 14 points and keeping Notre Dame out of the end zone in the second half to spearhead Jim Knowles' debut as defensive coordinator. The breakdowns in the secondary that were prevalent last season didn't show up in Game 1 for the preseason Big Ten favorites and the Buckeyes held Notre Dame to just 12 first downs.

Should Georgia jump Ohio State in the polls?
Just sayin': Probably, but I'm just too happy with the win over Notre Dame and the fact the defense played "so much better" than the last few years to care. Besides the only important poll is the last one.
I mean it has all those teams closer to Oregon State than it does Ohio State so it's not too far offESPN's FPI is a joke. Texas, Miami, AND Tennessee as top 10 teams? Arkansas not ranked? How could you take that the least bit seriously as a fan?
Honestly if we are talking about this season alone, Georgie is my numero uno; not that this specific situations matters at this point in the season but to me they looked like they’re a step ahead of everyone else right now including Alabama.
Oregon is overrated for sure but that doesn’t really matter to me; UGA made them look like they belonged in FCS.
