Yet another good idea shot in the ass by events. It's soooooooooo early in the season, but a hilarious scenario would be the #4 playoff spot being down to 1 loss ND and 1 loss scUM
and ND getting it because they went and played a marquee OOC road game while scUM played 3 of the worst teams in FBS.
Imagine the head explosion of the scUM fanbase.
It would certainly help if he didnt look like Jim from Taxi! The reporter that voted Ohio State #1:

Minnesota is getting raped by the polls. 33 and 34 I think and they are not only undefeated but leading the nation in both Offense and Defense at the moment. Yet, there's these pretender, media-favorite, scum suckers much higher in the polls. I could see them Top 10 come the END of the season and they aren't getting any recognition at all. OSU vs Minny in the BiG Championship would be a fun game.
To point to SEC bias. Spray drops all the way out of the top 25 for losing to now #18 Washington…..on the road.
Texas A&M was kept in the top 25 after losing to App State at home
It helped Arkansas stay at 10 when 11, 12, and 13 all lost.Arkansas stayed at the same spot at 10. Even though they won, they should have dropped a few spots based on their poor performance.
The coach's poll has Sparty at 21 and Washington at 24.
James Madison is the sleeperSadly there will be no G5 darling this year to whine about being left out of the playoff/national title hunt (or get waxed if they happened to sneak in like Cincinnati)
Houston and Cincinnati have both already crapped the bed.
Marshall might of had a chance to be that, but they couldnt beat a bad Bowling Green team.
Only 3 G5 left undefeated
Coastal Carolina (who is barely 3-0 surviving Gardern Webb & Buffalo by a combined 6 points the past 2 weeks)
Tulane
