We need to stop dismissing it as "it'll work itself out". It works itself into multiple SEC teams in the playoffs. It works itself into better rankings for SEC teams. They've tricked us into thinking it doesn't matter. It does.

This is typical committee. They want the winner of Tenn/Georgia to be #1.....but SURPRISE!!! The other one is 3rd. Aren't we sneaky?

If Georgia loses they'll be below Alabama...

Yep. Saban is such an eye sore. Curious to see if Bama can stay among the perennial elite after he's gone or if they return to their more normal post-Bear Bryant state of mediocrity. It's going to take a lot of losing in his 70's to convince him to go away and do something else.

They want to keep Tenn in the top 4 when Georgia beats them.

The buffer for 1-loss is to be #1, as long as you're Tennessee.

I want to see Ohio State, Clemson, and TCU win their conference championship and go undefeated. The SEC Champion is in regardless of their record; however, that would lock out a 2nd or possibly 3rd 1 loss SEC team from the CFPs.





Alabama is still in good shape. They win out and they are in. There won't be any undefeated SEC teams and Alabama winning the SEC Championship (even with the 1 loss) gets them in.

Needless to say, there is still a lot of football still to be played before the final CFP Committee ranking.
