2022 College Football Polls

Oregon isn't making the CFP unless they get some serious help either.

That loss to UGA disqualified them in a lot of minds, running through a rather weak Pac 12 isn't going to change those minds.

I think a 1 loss Ohio State or scUM has a good chance of getting put ahead of a 1 loss Oregon. Especially if UGA ends up winning out and being #1. Literally nobody is going to vote to see UGA vs Oregon again in the CFP Semi Final. They arent seed manipulating Oregon from #4 to #3 over anyone either to "avoid a rematch"

I won’t watch the show tonight, but I know that margin of victory won’t be much of a topic.

When tOSU is the only team in the country to win every game by double digits, it won’t be a talking point. Not like how margin of defeat was important in the years of the lopsided losses to Purdue and Iowa.

And I’m guessing the fact that Tennessee beat a 4-4 Pitt team in overtime won’t get referenced much, either. That happened in week 2 before people started paying attention to the Vols.

That Pitt team also lost at home to Georgia Tech.

You mean the playoff bound Pitt Panthers? - Desmond Howard probably

Bama is really getting the historical benefit of the doubt this year.

They've had some kind of issues with every capable team they've played outside of Mississippi State. This isn't a "oh they are elite but happened to slip up on the road against another elite team" type situation, Bama is visibly not the same team they have been in the past.

1. Tenn
2. OU OSU
3. Georgia
4. Clem's son
5. TTUN (HaHaHa. off to MGoBlow))
6. Bama.

FIFY

I want to see Ohio State, Clemson, and TCU win their conference championship and go undefeated. The SEC Champion is in regardless of their record; however, that would lock out a 2nd or possibly 3rd 1 loss SEC team from the CFPs.

:boogie:

When was the last time Bama wasn't in the top 4?

Alabama is still in good shape. They win out and they are in. There won't be any undefeated SEC teams and Alabama winning the SEC Championship (even with the 1 loss) gets them in.

Needless to say, there is still a lot of football still to be played before the final CFP Committee ranking.

I’m good with the top 5. Bama on paper is not the # 6 team but they have earned the respect over the years. I actually think TTUN is a better team than clempson but funny to see them out for now.

Texas being ranked is laughable. LSU at #10 and the highest ranked 2 loss team doesn’t make sense. I’d put Illinois or UCLA higher but it will sort itself out.
