2022-2023 College Basketball General Discussion

Actually I hear Miller also used his car to block the victim from leaving before the murder. Yikes.

Of course the coach doesn't need to hold out the player while the legal process is ongoing - do you even SEC bro? The media turned Urban into a whipping boy for a lot less. But the media turns a blind eye to Nate Oats, because who gives a shit about Nate Oats.

I don't know about that. I just watched a pretty scathing segment on the whole shitty mess on Good Morning America. I doubt they did that over Urban or Tressel.

I turned this damn game off because I thought it was over. Sparty led 89-76 with 2 minutes left yet Iowa won 112-106 in OT.

Was it a successful foul-o-rama? Not really. Sparty shot 14 free throws in the final two minutes and made 12 of them. Iowa was still down by 10 with 40 seconds left then they started dropping bombs - five threes in 39 seconds. Can't believe I missed it.

Best basketball moment for me this year and I thought it was going to be a great sports day after this one. The alma mater went to the border and stole one from the dirty cats.

I saw it live. Before the huge comeback, Fran McCaffery was called for a technical, and he didn’t like a couple of other calls. Going into a TV timeout, McCaffery walked out on the court and stood directly looking at the ref, then walked a little closer and stopped about 10 feet away from the ref, saying nothing but just staring at him. The ref took a step toward him and they had a brief stare down. It was childish, and I disliked Iowa getting the huge comeback after that.

In regulation, Sparty shot over 60%, shot almost 85% from 3 (11 of 13), and were over 90% from the line until Boggard missed 1 with about 10 seconds left. And they blew a 10-point lead in the last 40 seconds despite going 5 of 6 from the line. They had 1 turnover (a BS travel call on Hall), but Iowa made those 5 straight 3s in the final 40 seconds.

That's what I'm saying. Do the modern version of that.

I'd love to see someone bring it back. You've got to have a very deep roster, though. That's harder to do these days with guys leaving early.

That LMU team had a bunch of upperclassmen who were used to playing at that pace.
