Point that concerns me is he's on the inside. He should be able to see better than anyone what the defensive staff is all about and he just walked face first into a brick wall like he didn't even know it was there.
If you've been inside the WHAC since 2017 and came into this year thinking everything was cool on defense then I question your acumen. Given the person I am questioning is now the head coach, I hope to hell I'm wrong.
He was also there when they decided to stop having cornerbacks (despite having maybe the most ridiculous run ever for the position, and wasting all of that momentum)
So he hired back the wizard behind all of that, and gave him more responsibility for the defense. The latter backfired.
So he's 1 for 2, and he didn't wait out the season for the failure on the second. Despite the insanity of the past week, mid year changes aren't a great idea.
