Mmmmmmmmmm. Type that again, Section 1...just...slower.
That guy got most things right.
It's not costing them $7 million a year, as of January 11th it's costing them just over $8 million a year now.

Things are going swell up there. On the recruiting trail, the hiring of Shoop is not expected to move the needle a ton. He finished the 2020 cycle ranked 428th in the country according to the 247Sports Composite Recruiter Rankings and finished 2019 as the 117th ranked assistant coach in the SEC according to the same metric.
So, apparently "Assistant S&C Coach" Tank Wright is getting a bump to position coach. That's right, ASSISTANT strength and conditioning coach to position coach. Wow.
Also, they just lost two of their best recruiters. Their recruiting with them was nowhere where it needs to be to escape the 3-loss minimum plateau. So their replacements are Bob Shoop, a mediocre, well-traveled coordinator who doesn't recruit and their backup s&c coach. Regarding Shoop:

Let's just hope those cocksuckers are above the marianas trench.Love how Harbaugh is actually going down with his sinking ship. I mean he is sprinting to the bottom of the ocean.
Come, coach with me and my staff at Michigan!Holy cow, this guy has ZERO coaching experience. Assistant S&C at Arkansas for a few years, plus one at scUM, and now this guy is going to be coaching on-field. DFBIA can hype his "personality" all they want, to me this shows just how little pull Harbaugh has within the coaching community right now.
... The only downside to his hire is that it’s not going to make waves on the recruiting trail. According to 247 sports, he was 119th in the assistant coach recruiting rankings in 2019 and was outside the top-400 in the 2020 class.
Yet, that’s not necessarily a bad thing and we all know that recruiting for Michigan football is a little different than Mississippi State. Ed Warriner didn’t come to the Wolverines with the reputation of being a strong recruiter and that’s become a strength, along with his player development. ...
