I just have 1

This

There was a time when I was a football fan. The NFL killed that a very long time ago for me.

Then I was a college football fan

You'll find posts on this board made during Pac-12 after dark or some such whatever that I was watching... from not that long ago

Now I'm an Ohio State fan. If the Buckeyes aren't playing, I don't care.

I just don’t see the Big 10 changing direction when you already have (3) Big 10 schools supporting Biden in political ads that blame Trump for no Fall Sports.

It’s hard to reverse course when you’ve already taken that stand. Embarrassing and so short-sighted. Again, they have no idea how much backlash they are inviting. And I’d have the same opinion if they were pro-Trump ads the universities supported. There is zero reason for a state university to get involved in political ads. These schools have stepped in it, and in playing politics have opened themselves up to severe blowback. And it’s coming.

Pretty sure their decision has nothing to do with the Presidential election.

Then don’t lend your university to Pro-Biden ads that attack Trump and blame him for no fall sports (like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Northwestern have done).

Especially when the commissioner has already publicly stated one of his goals is to “swing the election”.

Whether it’s political or not, they certainly haven’t given anyone any reason to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Did you read the article or just the headline, because he never said he wanted to swing the vote. I read it twice to make sure I didn't miss something.

All he did was:
Start a 'nonpartisan' program to educate student athletes about the voter registration, voting, voter suppression and the right to vote.
Help them register to vote, though the big ten already had an initiative for that.
Teach them about the importance of local races (sheriff, DA, AG, judges). Something that most people gloss over.
He started a Big Ten Anti-Hate and Anti-Racism Coalition.

Those all seem like positive impacts, and the headline seems very misleading.

I hope no one on this board would say we should refrain from helping our student athletes from becoming educated voters.

So, if those schools are saying Trump is responsible for no fall sports (when most of the country is playing high school football and many college are/will) that should be their cue to "prove him wrong", because blaming him for no fall sports implies they want to play fall sports...you don't "blame" someone for doing something with which you agree or supports your position.

Warren didn’t say anything of the sort. You’re putting words and thoughts on him that he’s never said.

Where are these pro-Biden ads you are referencing that blame Trump for no fall sports that are put out by those universities?

There are a large swath of people who believe everything virus-related is about the election. It’s insanity.
