Here are the games on 12/12:

Saturday, Dec. 12
Michigan at Ohio State | 12 p.m. | FOX, MAYBE
Wisconsin at Iowa
Michigan State at Penn State
Minnesota at Nebraska
Illinois at Northwestern
Purdue at Indiana
Rutgers at Maryland

If Wiscy, Iowa, Nebraska, NW’ern, Indiana, or Rutgers cancels, we could play one of these on 12/12:

Iowa
Wiscy
Minny
Illinois
Purdue
Maryland

That could get us to 6 games after Sparty this week.

Interesting choice, I think Gene Smith would try to play for the B1G Championship, which might be an unpopular move. But if TTUN isn’t able to play on 12/12, there’s no guarantee they’d be available 12/19. So it’s probably the smart move.

They could try to squeeze The Game in on 12/26, but that only leaves 5 open days before the CFB semi-final bowls on Jan 1st, so I don’t think they’d try to do that.

If Illinois and TTUN both cancel on 12/12, I don’t think the B1G would let us play the CCG on 12/12 with NW’ern, and then play TTUN on 12/19, but that’s a remote possibility.

Maybe they should just cancel the CCG and just have Dec 19 be games decided by the B1G. If we play TTUN on 12/12, then B1G could schedule us against NW. If we don’t, then schedule us against TTUN, have Wisky play Minny, have NW play IU, and fill in the rest. Then after the 19th, the champ is whoever has the best record. You don’t need a CCG.

Then determine who conference champion is by best overall record. Like used to be.

That’s not what my sources are telling me. I hear OSU is looking to schedule the entire NFC East for home and home series. They will start on the 12th and play games every other day. OSU is going to make the home portion of the schedule double headers. Since they are at risk of being left out of the CFP, they are looking to lock up a berth in the NFC Wild Card round.

Makes as much sense as a ND-OSU game. Can I be internet famous now too?

I'll take my chances with Alvarez over the current jackass all day long. If he were to assume that role, only the Pedsters should be sitting around blaming every bad thing on him because it's what they do. Alvarez showed his character when Fat Bert left and Chryst wanted to bail on Pitt (a job he had recently accepted) for the Wiscy job. Alvarez told him no because he had made a commitment to Pitt. Only when Bert's replacement resigned to go back to Utah State two years later did Alvarez open the door for Chryst to return.

If he got in there and just became a biased tool it wouldn't take long for the rest of the B1G to tell him to take a hike. I don't think he's dumb enough to do that, unlike the guy coaching at TTUN. He gets the conference, he gets athletics, and he's not using the B1G Commissioner job to enhance his resume' for something bigger (like Warren).

Alvarez makes sense..University President don’t like sense the like “knowledge” , diplomatic, consensus, boards , studies, paralysis by analysis and being rigid. Alvarez is savvy, quick to analyze he’d be ideal for me but I don’t know shit cause I’m not an academic.

Are we not allowed to play Nebraska again? Minnesota seems likely to be the one to cancel. Saw this morning they have like 50 COVID cases in the program

If they're our only option, then they're the only option. But if there's at least one other option...take the other option! :lol: Another Holy Buckeye moment would not be seen as a positive this season.

Rondale Moore has been back in the slot their last two games, catching 22 passes.

Another reason to prefer another opponent if we need to replace TTUN on 12/12.
