Maybe but another double digit win vs a top ten team isn't too bad. We have a better SOS, better margin of win, and they love our balance.

That said wouldn't be surprised if we were #2 either.
You're no wrong on any of this, but I don't see the committee agreeing with most of us and being so impressed with a 2nd half beatdown(albeit to a top 10 foe who we already played) as opposed to LSU dominating a top 10 foe from start to finish. The SEC bias lives on folks. Nothing left to do but beat the piss out of 2 sets of Tigers! :sneaky::oh:

So let's say this team beats Clemson and LSU.

Gotta be discussions of best team in college football history right? Or best season at least
They'll be in the argument. But there will be a lot of debate.
But I wouldnt even give them the most talented of OSU(2015) and most talent in CFB history would still go to the 2001 Hurricanes.

This team is wiped out they had to muster a lot to close out Whisky. They have to build a new FIRE Within and all the disrespect and questioning them will help do it. Come out smoking in 3 weeks.
Getting healthy is the biggest thing because they'll be playing a Clemson team that has had to worry about only how many TDs they will beat someone and are at 98% health and very confident.
Time to punch goldilocks in the mouth and send him back to the country

The Badgers punted very late 3rd quarter down 3. We scored on the ensuing drive to go up 10.

Therefore, the Buckeyes have not let an opponent possess the ball with a chance to take the lead in 4th quarter once this season*.

* - punting on 4th and 17 from your own 4 before the 4th quarter clock even starts doesn't count in my book - sorry Pedos.

As of today, Ohio State teams lead the nation in margin of victory for:

Division I Basketball (26.1 pts/game)

AND

FBS Football (36.2 pts/game)

I wonder if any other school has ever been able to make that statement.
Yes. The University of SEC has done it numerous times, but I just don't have the data in front of me right now. But you need to trust me on this one.

I do like the fact that the team saw some real adversity and then shined. But I don’t think it’s one half of football that offers pause. Truthfully, we’ve seen some drop off since PSU on the defensive side. Meanwhile the offense rides on the sprained MCL of Fields.

Factoring that against a Clemson team that appears to be peaking at the right time and I can see the current reaction.
