I will say the '19 team started making mistakes in the Rutgers game and it felt like they never got back to being flawless, or even close to it.

Maryland was the highpoint of execution with the onside kick and all. Something was off after that.
I just think the team started playing stiffer competition. The Rutgers game the team was probably bored out of its mind knowing they could put 100 on them if they really wanted to. Ped State, at Michigan, and a Wisconsin team looking for revenge is a gauntlet no matter which way you slice it.

Meanwhile the last 3 weeks LSU gets a murders row of *checks notes* Arkansas, Texas A&M, and a Georgia team whom Wisconsin would probably beat by 2 or 3 TDs. Clemson had an even tougher schedule consisting of BYE, mighty South Carolina on its third string QB, and a Virginia team Indiana would probably beat.

Still supremely annoyed at OSU falling out of that #1 spot.

Really cant be overstated what a bummer that knee injury to Fields was against Penn State. Even if you don't factor in the somewhat bizarre play call and just say it was bad luck. Spent the whole season talking about needing to limit his carries so he would be fresh and able to run in the biggest games and then he was clearly compromised in the biggest game. Spent the whole saying how the red zone offense was better now with a QB who could keep and run if necessary...and then he couldn't keep in the biggest game...and the red zone offense sucked
