Agreed there is a difference between champs and most talented.

1961, 1969, 1973, ‘98, ‘05, ‘15,’19

none of them won a national championship

I disagree when it comes to the pre-playoff era and maybe the pre-BCS period too. There are a lot of teams that had legit claims to Championships, but never got to play for one, when the championship was basically a beauty contest, and the top 2 teams weren't even paired against each other in a bowl game.

Considering the insane amount of luck it takes to win it all and the insane circumstances it took to hand the 2019 its only loss, I'm pretty comfortable calling them the best OSU team ever.
