has anyone else noticed that kaleb has won what seems like every single tip? for a guy who can barely dunk, he certainly dominates the opening tip. odd.
I think we could beat Northwestern without him if we were playing them here and I also think that we might have had a shot at Wisconsin with him in the lineup.. I just do not have that much confidence in Young against NW's Pardon. I do not know I am just really pissed off at KWI think OSU could still beat NW without him. They were going to lose at Purdue regardless. Wisconsin is the game that I'm not sure about. We will get a chance to see how replaceable he is on this team.
Without KW, we are playing small ball with any other 4 that we put out there so we probably will be playing small ball unless KW is allowed to play. One thing I will point out ... if there is a chasm between the defense of Kaleb and that of the backup bigs, it would stand to reason that OSU should play small ball against a team like Northwestern that has limited size to start with.
if we lose to wisconsin ("if"... ), beat rutgers/illinois/whoever in tournament, and then lose the next game, i think we're going to be completely at the whim of other conference tournament outcomes. i don't think the aforementioned game outcomes make us a tournament team without help. the committee will excuse us for the purdue and wisconsin losses since we're without kaleb. however, there is no looking past this 18-point loss to a bad northwestern team breaking a 10-game losing stream.I feel like to make the tournament OSU needs 1 more win. 18-14 may not be enough.
BTN essentially summed it up nicely for me- Ohio State needs to beat 1 more team that is IN the tournament. They're currently only guaranteed an opportunity against Wisconsin Sunday.I feel like to make the tournament OSU needs 1 more win. 18-14 may not be enough.
