For sure. And I'm not sure those should be offsetting....they weren't simultaneous fouls. Seems to me that they should be enforced in the order they happened, not as offsetting.

Sure National titles are the goal, but 12-2 with a B1G title, Cotton Bowl title and beating the dog[Mark May] out of scUM is still a great year. And in no way was the defense national title worthy until about mid-November and the offense has likely never been....

Seriously.

Our fan base is one of the most entitled in all of sports. 12 wins, a conference title, another win over scUM and a bowl win over the hated Trojans. Is it what we hoped for in August? Maybe not. But when that’s disappointing to you...woof, man.

If that's a "disappointing season" then we've had a lot of them over the years. That said, if we're thinking about another "NC" we've got to figure out the offense.

so basically much hasn't changed from the prior regime in terms of complaints. some of that is likely due to the increased expectations under urban/wilson etc but it's interesting. and games like this show you that defense is still the #1 priority. you can generally win with the offense off beat, but not really the D.

But I can't complain over the years. 2 non BCS seasons since 03 (counting the probation year as one that would've been BCS bowling), unrivaled consistency.

No matter how frustrating the offense was in the second half, no one can take away the fact that this is what I think about every time I see D'Dickhole's face:
