Auburn's gotta be thinkin' WTF !!!

Seriously, as a few others have mentioned including me Wisky should have got the 4th seed as the only good team 'bama played they lost and Wisky at least played in their conference championship. IOW Wisky had to play a really good team whereas 'bama rested at home.

C'est la vie! Go 'dogs!

Exactly.

You could make a serious argument that Bama and UGA are in this position because of how mediocre the rest of the SEC is.

Those 2 in the title game doesn't make teams like LSU and Auburn any less average/mediocre and teams like Texas A&M/Missouri/Kentucky any less garbage.

hmm, 'bama lost to Auburn which lost (4) games and GA lost to Auburn by 23. IOW Auburn got punished for playing really good teams and again 'bama either played Mercer or stayed home and rested. 'bama was rewarded for playing a cupcake schedule and resting during the SEC championship and then having the good fortune of playing a totally overrated Clemson.

On the upside Clemson won't get the benefit of the doubt this year much like the Buckeyes last year. But not to worry Gcashwell and avid SEC fans as the 2018 preseason polls will have, as always, 7/8 SEC teams in the top 25 regardless ... just because!

but, but, but "we" all can feel sorry re: 'bama's brutal 2018 schedule:

Louisville at Orlando ie a home game
Arkansas State
UL Lafayette
and as always, those Titans of the Midway, The Citadel just before rival Auburn!

Indeed, how does Saban keep his head above water year after year.

If next Monday's tv ratings are crap like the 2012 'bama/LSU it will probably signal the end of two teams from the same conference making the final four er follow the $$$.

2012 = 14.0
2015 Buckeyes/Ducks = 18.9
2016 Clemson/Tide = 15.8
2017 Clemson/Tide = 15.3
2018 'dogs/'bama = ???

He's already on the record stating that the committee deliberately voted them down to keep them out of the playoff. Good for him.
