CFB Weekly Thread 2017 CFB Week 4 Open Thread

So has a team ever won a game by only kicking field goals while...

On a completely unrelated subject: Holy fuck! The entire UCLA/Stanford game seems to be composed of targeting calls. I've lost count.

Then again, all the targeting calls from today are starting to run together in my addled mind.

It doesn't help that Rod Franklin, or whatever the hell his name is, is running his mouth about "targeting being the most hated rule in college football".

Most hated? Hardly. Most inconsistently called penalty? Abso-fucking-lutely.

You've gotten several answers, whether you choose to comprehend those answers isn't my fucking problem. But this constant harping on the same subject for 5 straight pages has gotten really fucking old.
Been a few answers of either "because Saban" and the rest Is "Jesus drop it"... I legit was asking a question and you are too God damned biased to give a good answer.

I'm not even asking to complain.. I just wonder why that's all.

Oh, I dunno. I kinda hate it.

Understand the rationale for it. Still get sick of hearing it called.

I don't hate it, because there's a definite need for it in college football. Too many poor tackling techniques for it not to be implemented. I'm more bothered by the refs who are so eager to call it when a player vaguely leads with his helmet. Perfect example: Bosa against Notre Dame. There was one tonight in the UCLA-Stanford game. Need more consistency across the board among referees in every conference.
