He certainly did. It wasn't a hard push but it was a push. I have a feeling his mouth is what got him ejected anyways by the actions.
the running back just got gang-tackled. when have you seen refs put their hands on players as they're getting up? ever? refs shouldn't put themselves in the situation. if the ref had just done what all other refs do every single time, then the player wouldn't have been ejected.

I've seen it a few times. Usually the ref reaches a hand out and the player grabs it and gets help up. Not common but not OMG I've never seen that before either. Should he have been ejected probably not but he probably deserved a 15 yard penalty.

I feel much worse for people who got ejected for accidentally pushing the ref in a scrum then him in this case. In that instance it's usually people pushing trying to separate people and accidentally pushes a ref trying to do the same.
