I'd tell you that sounds like the setup to a pretty good 30-for-30.What if I told you in December that come the second week of February, the Bucks would be alone in first place in the B1G with a 12-1 record, a blowout win over Sparty and a come from behind, gritty win over a #3 ranked Purdue team? Me? I'd think you would have discovered a time warp back to 2011.
Coming into the year, I was expecting 19-21 wins, around a .500 finish in conference and an NIT bid, with an outside shot at the NCAA's. I didn't expect the B1G to be this down, and certainly didn't expect KBD to blossom as a conference POY-type...but here we are.I would have been happy with 15 wins and a good showing in the NIT. The absolute tenacity. The confidence and calm. That is great coaching.
I agree with everything you stated and I thought the same way At the beginning of the season. The only part of your post that I will sort of disagree with is that I think that there are about 6-7 teams in the conference that could win their first-round games in the Dance and depending upon the seeds I think a couple teams could make it to the elite 8 and possibly further. I guess I do not see the conference being as far down as some people do. I think a quite a few teams have improved as the season has progressed… Ohio State, PSU, Nebraska, and maybe even ttun.Coming into the year, I was expecting 19-21 wins, around a .500 finish in conference and an NIT bid, with an outside shot at the NCAA's.
