This scenario will surely come along once in a lifetime: Two teams from MS go down er were crushed on Wed followed by two teams from AL going down yesterday. Was thinkin' after the MS losses how great would it be for Wisky and the Buckeyes to take care of business also.

Indeed, as Mississippi and Alabama will be holding memorial services very soon.

I spent 3 weeks where every time someone brought up football I was informed how we were going to get ass beat by Bama. How we just don't understand how great of athletes they grow down here. How we don't have the speed to keep up. How nobody can beat Saban when he has 3 weeks to prepare. For 3 weeks I just listened to it and didn't argue knowing the whole time that we match up really well with Bama.

I know transitive property...blah, blah, blah...but I wonder how many Tide fans grew just a bit more nervous Wednesday and earlier yesterday as their division-mates...the very teams they were inflating their ranking on...were dropping like flies. Thank God the playoff committee appears to take more into account than simply "yeah, well, SEC" like most pollsters and a large majority of the national mediots do.
