Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

Not a read option, you have to respect Bama's ability to protect the edge. I think you begin the game with a Halfback inside hand off from the shotgun.

No one is talking about EzE. He will be huge if we keep him involved.
I think you should go with a 6 yard pass. So much has been said about the deep ball, do something different, but not too cute.

If we're being perfectly honest, I kind of look at this year's Bama team as Michael Bay with free reign over the Ninja Turtles (or insert blocker buster here) license. It sells a lot of hype just due to namesake, but in the end it falls short of former glory. The backbone/story isn't as good and the special effects are the only thing worth hanging their hat on.

Or I could just be drinking and rambling.

I disagree with you but know what you mean. It's like that girl you always thought was so hot-you're banging her not quite as pretty sister.

I think you agree with me, because that's it exactly. They are a good team, make no mistake about it. But man, their sister is so hot that they pale in comparison. Like even if you could bone their sister, you might be afraid you'd come home and find another dude in your bed, so you'd rather take your chances with the sister that isn't as attractive. Plus she has to fight harder to score and that makes you more comfortable than dealing with the chick who slams everything that walks in front of her.

I think 5-10 yard dumps on a crossing route, over the middle to Huerman or Vannett will be played. It will be almost necessary to keep the LBs deep and allow the lineman to open up holes for Elliott.

I dont think however that will be used early. Its something that will be played when needed IMO.

My prediction for tomorrow:

- Evan Spencer and Mike Thomas will come up B1G (get it?...). Most will expect passes to Smith but he will likely be focused on heavily by Bama's defensive backfield. This will leave Spencer (great possession receiver) and Mike Thomas on dig and curl routes.

- Someone will be called for targeting. Im not sure who but testosterone will be flying and so will bodies.

- I think Elliott gets 2 TDs and 80 yards. He is a beast. I also expect to see a lot of options and gadgets involving Marshall and Wilson (selectively), as well as Samuel for a change-of-pace. Urban knows he needs to sell the run heavily to open up the deep balls that will eventually wear down Bama.

- Bama's hands will be on their hips come the 4th quarter. This is the most athletic team OSU has had since 2010 and it will show. The coaching staff has them in completely different shape and it showed in this years conference title game compared to 2013.
