I said it before and I will say it again. The team that establishes the run will win this contest. Also, I think our game experienced QB ( 13 starts) gives the Tide and edge in a close game. One more thing, I think the indoor stadium favors the better passing team and this will be Ala's third game indoors.

I actually think this team is better warm, dry, and indoors. Let all that speed run free and open up the passing game.
It's built on offense and defense like a team that plays in the sun all year with just enough power to grind through B1G schedule.
That was a (slight) issue with Tressel teams going South; built to play in the inclement weather of the North.

I bet Ezell is looking forward to the fast track...as is Amari Cooper. Ala's worst game of the season on offense was against AR in the wind and rain, so I am biased towards the indoor field. Also our FG kicker has a strong leg but accuracy has been a problem, at least indoors he will not have to worry about wind patterns. And our punter is one of the best in the nation, so hope he can boom some long ones. I do think the indoor game favors the better passing team and tOSU looked just fine passing against WI. As stated earlier, passing edge to Bama because of Sims's game experience....but heck I'm just spouting.....we will all know soon enough.

I think our entire offense and defense are looking forward to the fast track.
It's rather antithetical to the usual ESPiN spin... in this case, Alabama has more size, but Ohio State has more speed.
It's why I'm worried about Henry, but feel good about our offense.

I don't know much about tOSU. However, Alabama has some speed as well. Receivers Christion Jones and Cooper can run past a few folks and the DB's for Bama have been burned by not looking for the ball but seldom has someone beat them deep.

When you say OSU has more speed, what positions are you talking about? They match up pretty evenly from the research I did.

I would say that our skill position guys matchup with your back 7 in our favor which is where the speed advantage goes. The DLine for us is also more of a fast, quick Dline than a big Dline to match up your guys' size on the Oline. In those two areas we have a speed advantage. Guys like WR, CB etc are going to most usually be very similar in speed. Where the SEC has been better than us and other BiG teams in the past is that they PLAY faster, not that they can actually run faster. That's about schemes and coaching where we've definitely been behind in the bowl games leading up to this season. We're hoping to change that trend on the 1st.

I have noticed in the games I've watched of OSU that a lot of the other teams do play slow. Sometimes OSU played fast. Sometimes not.

I don't see a huge discrepancy when it comes to size or speed for either side. Both are comparable. Where the B1G usually lacks speed is on the interior lines. OSU is not lacking there, but they give up some size instead. This game will come down to which coaches have the better game plan IMO. There are NFL caliper athletes all over the field both sides. But which side recognizes the tendencies and adjusts quicker will win the game.
