Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

Texas Trip Wrap Up

1 1/2 - 2 hrs sleep last night. Up at 3:15. Flew out at 6. Slept thru take off and landing in Atlanta. Flight to Akron Canton only had 51 on a 737. So got to spread out. Thank God.

Amazing how many people wanted to talk. A big Oregan fan put his arm around me at Dunkin' Donuts and said until they figured out to handle a running back like Zeke that they were not going to dominate. He said the rumor at Oregon is that Mariota's little brother is coming there to play and that he is talking about staying his last year so as to overlap with him. Oregon fan also said he was a Cowboys fan so weekend was a total loss.

Couple of Oregon fans at Zac Brown concert had on shirts that said something about "Addicted to Quack". They grinned and told me I would be feeling that in about 2 hours. I grinned and said "we'll see..."

Favorite signs, "Ducks play dress up, Bucks play football" and also "100 uniforms...0 National Championships"

Don't know who the female sports talking head was on the TV feed but I don't think she knew a first down from a flapjack. Then when she came across as all wet in the panties about OREGON...do these people even study the subject they are supposed to be prognosticating about?

Stopped in Akron for lunch at Bonefish. Waitress and customers wanted to talk Buckeyes. Made it home, Got a shower. Feel kinda human. Still grinning and not believing this is real.

So proud of this team and coaching staff.

OHIO STATE BUCKEYES, UNDISPUTED NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!! ...and I got to see it in person.

GO BUCKS!!!

Am I the only one that thought it was low-class to score the final touchdown in the final seconds of the game? That's not an act of strength or class, just a lowly bully cowardly kicking someone when they're down. C'mon, 'coach' meyer, quit being the little boy who's still trying to get his daddy's approval by beating up on the opponent.

Yeah, you probably are. Fuck that noise. I wish there was more time so we could have scored another for 49-20.

Pretty much. Oregon called a timeout prior to that, indicating they wanted the ball back intending to score. They want to do that to try and make the score line look closer? Sure, you can do that, after we go ahead and score. If you still want to play, then line up and stop it. They didn't stop it. What's cheap is throwing TDs against a clearly inferior opponent you paid to provide a warmup game late in the game. Oh, and the TD play on 4th down with about 1:25 left in the MSU game when they were up by about the same amount. You did it yourself, so you don't get to complain.

This wasn't Ohio State punching in a late TD versus Akron with a 50 point lead. This was Oregon, the fastest offense in the west. They wanted to play 60 minutes and they got 60 minutes. Take it like a man.
