Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

Am I the only one that thought it was low-class to score the final touchdown in the final seconds of the game? That's not an act of strength or class, just a lowly bully cowardly kicking someone when they're down. C'mon, 'coach' meyer, quit being the little boy who's still trying to get his daddy's approval by beating up on the opponent.

Yes. Now go away.

So, you would've felt better if OSU would've kicked a FG instead?

A little math lesson. 35+3=38. 38-20=18. 18 is three scores in football. Which is no different than being up 22 points after the touchdown.

Like others have said, Oregon wasn't done. They were calling timeouts, even jumped offsides on 4th and 1 in a desperation to get the ball back. In actuality, OSU gave Oregon the best chance to comeback by continuing to run plays.

Webster defines the word "hypocrite" as follows:

hyp·o·crite
noun \ˈhi-pə-ˌkrit\
: a person who claims or pretends to have certain beliefs about what is right but who behaves in a way that disagrees with those beliefs

Full Definition of HYPOCRITE

2
: a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings

The door is ---------> that'away, dear.

HE LEARNED IT FROM WATCHING HELFRICH ALRIGHT. HE LEARNED IT FROM WATCHING HELFRICH.

:sob:

Yeah, you probably are. Fuck that noise. I wish there was more time so we could have scored another for 49-20.

Pretty much. Oregon called a timeout prior to that, indicating they wanted the ball back intending to score. They want to do that to try and make the score line look closer? Sure, you can do that, after we go ahead and score. If you still want to play, then line up and stop it. They didn't stop it. What's cheap is throwing TDs against a clearly inferior opponent you paid to provide a warmup game late in the game. Oh, and the TD play on 4th down with about 1:25 left in the MSU game when they were up by about the same amount. You did it yourself, so you don't get to complain.

here's a juice box and a slice of orange. Do you have a ride home?

Did they wave the white flag....NO it was against their #1 D weak as it was pull your starters if you want to QUIT.

This wasn't Ohio State punching in a late TD versus Akron with a 50 point lead. This was Oregon, the fastest offense in the west. They wanted to play 60 minutes and they got 60 minutes. Take it like a man.

It would have been more of an insult to knee the ball with 1:43 left than to keep playing and giving Oregon a chance to possibly make a play. Who knows, with how poorly OSU was handling the ball last night, anything could have happened. EzE was the only guy who didn't have butter fingers the whole game.

[

Short answer - Yes you are.
Longer answer - This was a football game, not a boxing match. If this were a boxing match the ref would have stepped in and stopped the match because the Oregon D had been abused to the point they were no longer able to defend themselves. It was not a boxing match. You play for 60 minutes and Oregon has shown in the past that's the way they play. You brought up the bully analogy. Oregon could have been accused of being a bully in the past. You teach a bully to stop their behavior by kicking the [Mark May] out of them. Maybe that was the lesson.

Would you like some cheese with that whine?

Yes. Now go away.

The consensus seems to be: yes, yes you are.

What was the final estimate of Buckeye and Duck fans at the game? Looked like 65% Buckeyes to me.
65% is probably a fair estimate. My son and I sat on Oregon side around the 40 yard line. Looking at the Ohio State side, I saw nothing but red. But there were several pockets of red in the Oregon section. Nonetheless the Duck fans managed to make some loud noise when the game was actually in doubt. They also seemed like pretty good fans, we didn't run into any obnoxious Duck fans fortunately. Unfortunately did run into a Buckeye bozo making the rest of us uncomfortable..

Because laying down right in front of the end zone would have made them feel better?
