OSU trailer for the trailer they'll release Friday
You can never have enough trailers... [insert trailer park joke here]
He wanted to go to OsU. Instead of just leaving Florida because he said he wanted to, he came up with his "health scares" and "family time" issues once he lost sec dominance.
If you were his family, wouldn't you be pissed if he said he was going to quit coaching to finally spend time with you, but then was like, "nevermind guys, we're moving to Ohio! I'll see you at Christmas and July fourth!"
Maybe his health issues in 2009 and 2010 were indicative of his psychic powers?
Urban Meyer first went to the hospital Dec 6, 2009
Urban took a leave of absence Dec 27, 2009
Urban returned March 27, 2010 as Florida went to 7-5
Urban announced he would leave Dec 8, 2010 and coached the last game January 1, 2011
The initial tatgate scandal broke Dec 22, 2010 suspending 5 players for first 5 games in 2011 season
(allowing them to make the NCAA money in Sugar Bowl - if they were suspended for that, nobody would've watched)
March 8, 2011 Tressel was implicated for over-looking the scandal
May 30, 2011 Tressel was fired
July 8, 2011 the entire 2010 season was vacated (including the Sugar Bowl that NCAA cleared everyone for - you know, now that they got their money)
July 8, 2011 Fickell named interim HC and led them to a 6-6 season with loss to Florida in bowl game
2011 season Urban Meyer is working as a commentator with ESPN
Nov 28, 2011 Urban Meyer hired as new HC
Oh so let me get this right.
He coaches at Bowling Green. A team that was 2-9 goes 8-3 and then 9-3. Sounds like a tough gig.
Then he moves up to Utah. Again a team that was 5-6 goes 10-2 then 12-0. At places like Bowling Green and Utah........you know, bastions of high school talent where it's easy to get players.
Then he moves up to Florida, where he wins 2 National Championships and starts the SEC propaganda bull[Mark May].
THEN....because it makes the myth of the SEC even greater for you SEC folk, he turns into a pussy who is afraid of the very super conference that he had a hand in building.
Let me guess.....the Alabama fan thinks he was scared of Nick Saban.
Sometimes I wonder if Bama fans don't trot this line about cowardice out b/c it's actually their coach who got skirred and fled The League for somewhere it's easier to win.
People feeling bad about something often project it onto others...
The great irony is that it's Saban who wasn't very successful until he lucked into the LSU job with a huge talent pool and no in-state competition.
He struggled at Michigan State (34-24-1, 0-3 bowls) when the Big10 was strong.
He struggled in the NFL with parity and not having the talent advantage.
He's done extremely well at two schools where he can accumulate huge amounts of talent and cover-up his scouting misses with over-signing and falsified medical scholarships.
