Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

They're very confident. To the point of obnoxious. They have no idea what they are up against in this game because Ohio State is battle tested at this point.

Most of them seem to think that we'll get a late score or two to make the final score respectable. Every time I have met an Oregon fan I have found them to be the single most arrogant fans for a group that has never won anything of consequence in football.
2009 all over again.

They said they're tired of the Duck Hunt jokes. Yet, they had no problem mentioning Urban Meyer's health issues or slow B1G

What fucking hubris for a school with no tradition, no championships and is 0'fer against tOSU including a defensive spanking just recently.

I used to do a lot of business in Seattle and got to know quite a few UW alums, and to a person, they say Oregon fan is hokeing intolerable and act like college football didn't exist before Daddy Phil bought them a program. I think they're pretty universally loathed around the PAC and Northwest.

Even they recognize history is repeating itself as far as Ohio State's expectations for the game.

Interestingly, they don't recognize that those expectations were 100% accurate in 2009 and likely will be again given that they will be playing a highly motivated team (unlike FSU) that can manhandle them in the trenches and match them athletically on D enough to slow them down.

I've seen it mentioned that the day before the game will be the best time to buy tickets. Right now I'm seeing tickets as low as $694 on Stubhub, $707 for the OSU side of the stadium. Anyone with more experience here able to throw out ideas on how low tickets might get as the game gets closer? Trying to calibrate expectations.
My nephew got into the Miami game in 2003 for something like $150 . Way up and about even with the back line of the end zone, but, hey, he was in the stadium.

My concern is that our offense is much more potent than in 2009, so we may not control the TOP.

Regardless of the outcome, I expect full domination by the D and O line in this game. We all know Oregon has stepped it up this year and can compete, but I don't see them going toe-to-toe with either of our lines. I'm expecting quick pass plays, screens, options, whatever can help them utilize trickery and get the ball out in a hurry. I have not caught a whole lot of film on Oregon this year, but from what I have watched... the trenches should belong to the Bucks.
