Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

Not by much when showing the overhead camera from behind the play, giving a taste of what jameis could see with his peripheral vision.

Mariota is an amazing player, an experienced JT Barrett. Oregon's lines are better than they have been in the past and they hit FSU hard. Ultimately the Semiholes fell apart. Once the mistakes started FSU panicked, Winston blew up and Oregon kicked it into high gear. The Ducks definitely have a killer instinct as shown against FSU, Stanford, Sparty, and in the CCG.

I believe it's going to be a better game than either group of fans think. For once the selection of Jerry's place seems to be fair. Both teams have to travel a comparable distance to play in a stadium neither is familiar with, unlike the Rose or Sugar Bowls.

If it's a blow out and Oregon wins, the screams from the TCU fans will go on until September. If it's a close game, win or lose, the Bucks will start the 2015 season ranked #1.

TCU lost the head-to-head with Baylor, then Baylor lost to MSU, after which we beat Bama to make the National Championship. Nothing TCU fans whine about at this point matters to me.

Not that I give a [mark may] - did that just to see if it would reverse - about TCU's fans. I do think it makes the point about SOS - beating the Big XII big boys in your conference only counts if they play at the big boy level and neither Texas or Okie came close to that.

And then there's Baylor - they looked like Dennis Rodman clones and talked like Desmond Howard's slow-witted brother. And Art Briles can eat a bag of dicks.

The Big 12 weny 2-5 in bowl games....I think any clamoring about how tough there conference was is now totally irrelevant

Baylor is who we thought they were....as proven vs MSU, good team but not quite big time

OU.....mediocre? At best?

Texas....heaping garbage

Kansas state....ok but nothing near great

WVU.....looked decent at some point but fell off big time at the end

Okie state..... "meh"

Texas Tech.....quite shitty

ISU and KU.....wouldnt be competitive in the MAC

I do think highly of Oregon's Oline.

Their Dline? Not so much.

They aren't stalwarts but they have a ton of speed and length. Prevot and Buckner are terrors on the edge and Armstead is 6'8 with a ridiculous reach at DT which could pose problems for our smaller interior OL.

RUN, RUN, RUN, and RUN some more. Ducks will bring constant pressure at Cardale and he tends to hang on to the ball too long

Granted, such things are b.s., to a point, and a guy like Mariota makes up for a LOT, but I looked at the recruiting class rankings for the Bucks and Ducks since 2010 (5th year seniors now) because talent matters and in a general sense recruiting class ranks measure that. These are ESPN rankings, not because they're especially good, but because they were easy to find and I know that OSU tends to be lower in them than in others.

OSU (2014-2010): 7, 3, 6, 7, 16 (avg. = 7.8).
UO (2014-2010): 27, 26, 18, 14, 22 (avg. = 21.4)

Of course, FSU was 3, 9, 2, 1, 6 (avg= 4.25) so take it all with a big grain of salt, but I'd rather have the higher-ranked classes nonetheless.

You say speed and length I say undersized and weak. A 6'8 DT? I can see our guards licking their chops getting leverage on him.
