Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

Fucking football genius...

Frosty Tips: To me, we can close the chapter of the discussion - of the conspiracy theories out there - that this team can't play in these kinds of games.

Neither was 41-14...
Damnit. It felt like 42.
41-14, wasn't it?
Stop piling on, jerk (I'm joking).
OK, let's stop talking about 2006. Its giving me a headache...
I'm still salty about 2006 and this thread has sucked in the last 24hrs imo :shake:
Sorry guys, but the wins over Alabama and Oregon were cathartic events that allow me to discuss that earlier Affront To Humanity and at last heal the trauma.
All I know is that I have officially forgiven Urban Meyer for the sins of 42-14.
I suppose so, but Jim Tressel still owes him a DDT. And the score was 41-14, dummy.

If Herbie would have had this exact same conversation but substituted "OSU" for "OREGON" I would buy it. The Bucks were disrespected all year as too slow, no offense, weak defensives backs, YADA, YADA, YADA.... I would have been more able to listen to that than Herbie and everyone else at ESPiN running The Bucks into the ground all year. When I saw the Bucks vs. Ducks match up on this forum I was confident. When I saw The Ducks with their tongues hanging out...piss on the fire and call the dogs.

GO BUCKS!!!

Thread about their losses in personnel and how it made the difference
No excuses but....
Let's not forget how fortunate/resilient we were to make it to the National Chqmpionship this year:

Bralon Addison 890yds, 9tds, 280punt return yds, 2tds
-leading receiver and one of our best players coming into he season

Devon Allen 684yds, 7tds
-3rd leading receiver and our best downfield threat

Darren Carringotn 704yds, 4tds
-2nd leading receiver and another downfield threat

Pharaoh Brown 420yds, 6tds
-best tight end and one of our most talentd players
-great blocker/receiver
-can exploit 1on1s with linebackers (beat Myles Jack earlier this year on a 1-on-1)

Tyler Johnstone - 26 starts
-most talented offensive lineman
-freshman all American, all pac-12 player

Ifo Ekpre-Olomu - 4 year starter
-2 time all-American

Let's look at ours. Some were out, some were severely hampered due to injury

Devin Bogard - ACL
Ezekiel Elliot - No use of his left hand
Noah Spence - Dismissed for drugs
Braxton Miller - Shoulder
JT Barrett - Ankle
Jacoby Boren - Ankle
Dontre Wilson - foot
Jeff Heurman - Ankle
Kosta Karageorge - Death

Anythiing I missed?

According to Oregon fan, the Ducks lost the game because of:

1) Injuries. Alright, let's replay that game with Jeff Lockie at quarterback instead of Marcus Mariota. Do the Ducks even score?

2) Dropped passes. 2 dropped passes >>>>> 4 turnovers. Mkay....

3) Failure to make adjustments on defense. Apparently the defensive coordinator should've told his players how to make tackles from the supine position.

4) Ohio State played Stanford football.....better than Stanford plays Stanford football

Other than I thought Boren had a hyperextended knee...SPOT ON!!! OSU had every reason to not be there, let alone win it. Thank God for the playoff system. Now extend it to Top 8 and let's see some real football!!!

8 waters it down and devalues the regular season. I like a conference champion being left out, it keeps the teams hungry. No one should ever coast to a playoff. I'd rather have one or two pissed off fan bases than to have a bunch of two loss teams-or worse play in the playoff. Having the conference championship games act as play in games is good enough for me.
