I wouldn't mind seeing Miller make the move to RB. Outside of his injuries, he has everything you want for a running back.

We don't know if his shoulder will ever be the same, and this is probably his best shot at being taken high in the draft.

He's so good in the designed QB run game, I don't see how he won't put up huge numbers.

Being a running QB is still very different than being a RB though. Idk if I'd want him at RB, but maybe in an extended capacity to how Meyer used Tebow as a frosh with Leak. We shouldn't make it so obvious that we're going to option run with Miller all the time, but still have passing plays as part of his scheme. I just don't know how the staff can completely sit Barrett for a year in favor of Miller, or completely sit Miller. Both are far too dangerous and essential to our offense. I see a big advantage over many teams if they have to gameplan for 2 elite QBs with different skill sets. And I think giving Barrett as many game reps as possible will only help the Buckeyes for the future

I love Brax to death for all that he has done for our program. I think Coach Urb is right, let him get back and lets see what he has left. Lets have them prove who is the better QB for this team. If Brax cannot throw during the offseason I think the choice is obviously JT. If he can, then let the best QB win.

I...I just don't know.

I love JT. And we all see the offense. The kid has total command of everything going on. I'm just selfishly not ready to accept not seeing #5 back at QB for the Buckeyes. That's all. But such is life.

Time and change....

People here know that my original stance on who would/should our starter next year was that it would/should be be Miller without question...no longer. I think it's now Barrett's job to lose. Meyer is right in saying there will be an open competition between the two for the starting job, but I think even Miller knows that he's in the co-pilot seat right now...

The thing I think we keep forgetting is that we never got a chance to see how Braxton would have run this offense.

The pieces around the QB are half of the improvement, not just the guy getting the snaps. If the coaching staff is comfortable with Braxton running the offense he will play.

I think the best case scenario is that both QBs play situationally. I don't think Braxton would be mad being the change-up. Would help him stay healthy.

This won't be a popular comment (like, when has that ever stopped me? :lol:) but I think the best thing for both Braxton Miller and the Buckeyes might be for him to transfer elsewhere for his fifth year of eligibility (assuming he graduates before fall 2015). He'll have a chance to start again without any stickiness, perhaps getting to try another position, and JT gets to play without the mess of a QB controversy.

I could be wrong, of course, but that's my current thinking.

Not because it is you Max, just because, but I kind of agree and I feel like a dirtball for thinking that.

Never thought of that possibility. Wish I hadn't really. No good thoughts there but it could work out well I guess.

The proposal someone made previously, I am really relishing the thought of having them both in the same backfield. JT can block. Miller would be the ultimate "wildcat" h-back, and set the standard for the h-back pass option. I'd call it the quadruple option offense.
