I think a grad transfer is probably the best move. At the same though I just don't see him transferring. Don't see Braxton leaving his son or taking him very far from home.
I think from a football perspective he'd be better off transferring. The problem is there are other variables, like family, friends, coaches, etc...I'm typically in the camp of "if you have 2 QBs, you don't have any QBs", but I'm in favor of a dual QB offense. It'd be pretty nasty. Assuming Braxton's shoulder isn't jello...

The solution to Ohio State's quarterback quandary next year is to play both QBs in the backfield at the same time at all times.

Ideally, every skill player on offense should be able to run, pass and catch. That's the next wave.

One day a team will use 4 QBs, or multiple players who can pass the ball. The position need not be tied up with one high-salaried guy.
Already giving up on next year?I hope everything works out for the best for everyone. Braxton stuck by OSU and helped us through some very dark days. He'll always be my favorite even though he didn't bring us championships like his predecessors.
You take that back RIGHT NOW!Yeah, I was thinking someplace more like Florida State.
Problem is he won't be ready for the combine. I don't think he will be throwing the ball with any kind of force until summer. The absolute last thing he should do is transfer. He's historically injury-prone and will be trying to come back from a surgery with a year and a half layoff. Braxton needs to declare for the draft, wow them at the combine, and move on playing whatever position will get him paid. Another year here or somewhere else isn't going to suddenly make him an nfl qb.

Um, hes not an NFL caliber QB anyway. His best bet is RB or WR like Hairlice Robinson, Brad Smith, Randle El, etc. His arm barely won us Big 10 games last year, the teams he barely could throw against last year, JT is torching through the air.

Braxton doesn't leave.
That being said, I could very well see an offense that features Braxton in certain situations and formations. If you run him in the same formations that you currently are running Jalin then you have an even more potent arm taking the snap with the ability to pull it back and throw a pass. Imagine the options you'd have with Braxton, Jalin and JT on the field at the same time? Who's getting the ball? 3 guys could legitimately throw a pass. Who do we key? How do you focus on all of them? Then you realize you have a Junior Wilson on the field, EzE, Michael Thomas and whichever standout frosh ends up on the scene next season.
Having 2 AVERAGE QBs is like having no QBs. Having 2 EXCELLENT QBs is like getting a BJ from Eva Longoria.
