I've only had that eye for 2 players in my life. Players were you go woah he is a force and there's nothing the other team can do. Troy Smith (look up the old threads, I was calling for him when Zwick was named starter) and now JT.

I only see MSU having a defense good enough to test our offense and so far MSU has had a lot of issues through the air against teams. While JT is off to a great start he has a long way to be Troy, that I understand.

I'm sure Braxton is happy for JT but it has to be killer to see him throw up impressive stat lines

It's going to be an interesting summer.

JT is the better QB for this offense. Braxton has never looked comfortable going through progressions and delivering the football. Brax is a magical runner but there is a reason the offense has never looked this fluid.

I love what Braxton can do.. 4.3 in a phone booth, but Barrett is a more complete QB. Another year at the helm will not help Miller get into the bigs as a QB. He needs to find another position to get a shot with. Just my 2 cents.

That's not even fair comparing true freshman Braxton on our worst team in 100 years to Barrett this year.

I saw JT throw two of the best passes I've ever seen an OSU QB throw on Saturday with the dart-perfect placement pass to Vannett which even had the commentator talking about how hard it was to do. Then, the anticipation pass on the TD to Jalin Marshall. Unreal touch and placement as he was getting nailed. Threw it way before the break in the route.

That's the stuff that has people saying "Whoa, this guy can really QB". BM has made some sick plays in his career but they were almost all of the athlete variety not of the QB variety. Makes people think.

What about the throw to Devin for a TD against Maryland as well? That same throw was air mailed by Braxton against MSU with a more wide open Devin?

The corner throw to Jalin also was attempted by Braxton last year and he over shot a WIDE OPEN Chris Fields against NW. My point is these are not easy throws and yet Barrett just keeps making them look that way.

Braxton won the B1G awards for his rushing ability and the big plays he produced with his legs. Hardly for his throwing abilities. I really like both QBs but they couldn't be any more different. IMO 16 makes more sense because we have recruited and will continue to recruit others that need to be utilized. We don't need a QB to run a 4.3 40 we need someone who involves 5 others who are equally as dangerous.

Maybe he doesn't want another position. Maybe he's willing to let the chips fall where they may when it comes to pro ball. Maybe he just wants one more year of being a damn good college QB.

I hate to be a wet blanket, but seeing the effect that the H.T. has on a lot of its winners' lives, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. J.T. has a stellar future ahead of him. I'd love to see him fulfill it. Just sayin'.

All of the above ended up being drafted, along with Kirk Barton, Doug Datish, and Rob Sims (still in the NFL I think). Holmes (Super Bowl XLIII MVP), Ginn, Mangold (5x Pro Bowl, 3x All-Pro), and Nugent are still playing in the NFL.

Me thinks Troy had more with which to work in 2004 than does Barrett now.

Maybe in 9 months, his shoulder still won't be able to hold up. Maybe in December, he will graduate and transfer to Wisconsin. Maybe he returns, wins the Heisman and a national championship while JT holds a clipboard. Lots of if's and but's..

I think there is a significant difference between JT, Johnny Football & Skrong.
