2015-16 Ohio State Quarterback Discussion

I will be very surprised if all 3 play this year
Labrum tears are so unpredictable... and to have to heave a ball 60+ yards.. dunno.. shoulders are rough
I can attest that JT's injury can be very problematic and easily could cause him to sit out the entire year
Would not surprise me if Cardale is the man this fall .. may be the only one healthy

And who is the best man at utilizing the skills of ALL players on the offense? Urban. The way he involved EzE, Dontre, and Jalin this year was remarkable and he is most certainly the best coach in the country to help Braxton make that transition most effectively.
Exactly... I think if somehow this comes about RB this will be perhaps the most talented offense to ever come out onto a college football field (even more so than USC with Bush, white, Leinhart).

If Braxton stays and we do transition him into a slash role if Braxton, Zeke, Marshall, Wilson, and Thomas are on the field at the same time you are talking about a guaranteed match up somewhere against a LB. I know it's a homer thing to say but I am being serious in the thought that if Braxton does return and becomes more like a Cordell Stewart from his rookie years this offense would be very tough to stop. In fact I think the bigger question would be can the OC/Urban make all of those talented players blend and work together. To me it's like assembling the Miami Heat or the Cavs from this year sometimes throwing all of that talent out on the field puts people in roles they aren't use to but as you said Urban is a guy who can make this work.

Urban's offense gets QBs hurt. Even Tebow got hurt.
We will need a "pair and a spare".
If they are all fully recovered, that is!
I'm starting to wonder just how durable JT is?
I get the feeling we'll see Cardale a lot this year. He may be most able to survive the pounding.

In a vacuum I'm starting JT at QB, running Cardale in for 3rd and short situations and in the red zone and moving Brax to a slot back.

...but I'm not UFM.

I don't think there's any way CJ would've came back to be 3rd string lets put it that way... I think CJ is going to start, I think Braxton will play sparingly at QB but will also find a defined role in our offense (redzone threat would be enormous), and if possible JT gets a medical for this next season.

There is a way he did because its very possible. and Barrett cant get a Medical shirt without getting injured next year.

It amazes me how many people on here think Urban had his depth chart completely backwards. Sure, give Cardale props, but CJ was third string for a reason. Urban knows what he is doing, and for Urban, Braxton was 1, JT and CJ close 2 and 3 respectively. My oh my how quickly people forget. Braxton finished his Jr season getting the 5th most votes for Heisman. He completed over 62% of his passes. He is not just a runner. Goerge Whitfield Jr said he had "rare arm talent". Braxton needed to work on his touch passes according to him. Who knows what Braxton's arm will be like after two surgeries, but if it is the same as it was, my money says Urban will have his depth chart exactly like it was at the beginning of the year, Brax, JT, Cadale.

Why? the only reason he missed any action at all was because his ankle got caught up in a scrum. That was a freak occurence. I think he was plenty durable. Yeah, he got dinged up against the pedtards, but he stayed out there.
