2014 Week 6 CFB Open Thread

And Oregon has had 9 since 2000 and 6 in the last 6 seasons. Overall wins are pretty irrelevant look at Michigan, Minnesota, Army, Rutgers, Maryland, Cal, Boston College they are all ahead of Oregon

But the odds are scUM will get their act together eventually and Oregon will fade away. scUM will fire the pizza man, steal a few stud Ohioans and start winning again. You can shove all the Nike dollars in the world down their throat but at the end of the day it's still Oregon.

Oh I think Oregon can be truly and fully "elite" eventually, they certainly have a lot of momentum to go with all that new money, it's just that they are still weighted down by a long middling history in the non-egalitarian sport of college football.

Official down in the BYU game!

Seriously, though, looks like the player rolled right on and over the right leg of the official. Definitely painful, could very well have broken a bone.

EDIT: Field Judge is limping off the field, so probably just messed up the ankle a bit.

Ah.... Was not aware of that. I think back to 200....8? 9? Where OSU was flagged twice against scum for making the "O" symbol with their hands while Oregon did it constantly with no flags ever.

and then the ridiculous flag in 2005 when Santonio Holmes was flagged for diving into the end zone....The Oregon player's actions were probably borderline had he already not danced for 10 yards after the tackle. Both of those actions on concert were over the top

Yeah, there is just no room for celebration in college sports anymore and the players need to adjust. Not a shot at you at all, just being honest. Anything but handing the ball to the official or running to the sideline is a penalty.
