2014 Week 6 CFB Open Thread

Typical annual letdown by Oregon. They're due for at least one every season. Should've cherished the '10 season more, because at least they made it through the Pac-12 unscathed that year.

Re: Michigan had the right coach

Like I mentioned before, I believe RR is a very good coach, but he wasn't a good fit here. If we just took September records, he probably would be winning National Championships. But unfortunately, every time we entered B1G play, his offense turned into garbage. He's in a much better situation in Arizona and is proving that in the right environment, he is a hell of a HC.That's perhaps been the most impressive aspect of the Hoke Magic--he's actually found dubious records and proud streaks to break that even RR didn't get to in his time here.

I mean, who'd have thought it possible. Well, other than our visionary AD.

I'm sorry but we screwed the pooch with rich rod. I can't imagine that Brandon wasn't the same when he was around. Imagine if Rich rod was given the same support from the athletic dept as coach hoke. What Hoke could've thrown money at a DC like hoke did with Nuss.

Rich rod was the light at the end of the tunnel for us and we fucked it up.

And this is the true genius of the RichRod hire, from an Ohio State fan's perspective. Even after running the program down to the seventh level of Hell, the RichRod acolytes are still holding the rope, spotting the ball, ALL IN, etc. Despite being the worst plague ever to visit itself on Michigan football, this guy has somehow managed to split the Wolverine fan base. Unbelievable! I know that a certain portion of the fans will continue to follow that clown around like lap dogs, and when he lands somewhere like Louisiana-Monroe and starts putting up 60 points per game in the Sun Belt Conference, all the toadies will run back to Stadium and Main and say, "See, I told you so! RichRod=God. The Spread rules! You cloakers ruined Michigan football!!!!"
Pretty much what I said on the day of the Hoke hiring, except that RichRod ended up with a better gig that I anticipated.

It's like someone dumping their boyfriend after telling him he's a fat failure, then finding out a couple years later that he's lost 50 pounds and won the lottery.
Except in RichRod's case, the guy is still 100 pounds overweight and the lottery was the Pick 4 - that's what Michigan Man is pining away for.
