Unless Hale takes a starting job on the OL, this makes his move even more curious. With so much rotation on the DL and presumably no purposeful rotation on the OL, you would think Hale would be more utilized rotating in at DT. Sure we have Bennett, Carter, Schutt, and Hill. We still don't know anything about Munger. But you would think that Hale would be at least the 3rd-4th best DT in that rotation. Maybe not if Washington/Bosa will slide down some to allow a rotation of Spence, Marcus, Miller, Lewis, etc. Not really questioning the staff but I am just curious to see if the move sticks.

Washington has been moved to the three technique (DT) full time according to 11W.

Makes more sense then. Honestly it might get our best DL on the field at the same time as well with Bosa at SDE and Spence at WDE, and Washington/Bennett inside. Plus that leaves an awesome rotation of Marcus/Lewis at WDE and Miller at SDE (or WDE), and Carter/Schutt/Hill inside. Even beyond that I am curious to see how Munger, Sprinkle, and Dylan Thompson look. The only non-factors in my mind will be Slade and Holmes, who will likely need redshirts (no indictment on talent though, both are fantastic prospects). Maybe Sprinkle and Munger, that remains to be seen. This is some of the better depth I can remember in quite some time at DL in terms of proven talent and potential, and it will be fun to see how LJ Sr. gets them all involved.

All that being said and loving the fact that we can have a solid rotation, part of me wants to see Bosa never leave the field. I almost want to play him on offense too, I would take 11 Bosa's on each side if I could.
