2014 Season Discussion

We didn't have a proven leader on the field for our defense last year. Preferably you have a MLB that can run the show and we didn't. C Bryant did his best until he was lost to injury. Making matters worse we had what appeared to be a total lack of identity on defense schematically. I am not worried about our scheme this year. Until I see otherwise I am nervous about leadership on the field. Bennett is the most grizzled leader but you really need a vocal guy in your back 7. Who will it be in 2014? That's the question I need answered. One of Lee or Worley will have a big impact, maybe both but it's hard to see them as a leader at this stage. Von Bell is the big wild card to me. There is a lot of talent but I still don't see who the QB of the defense will be. Maybe Joshua Perry steps up? When you look around on defense the last few years we have sorely lacked a leader on the field. That's why Boren made such an impact in 2012.

Horrible question, but I gotta ask for those in the know: if you can go to one home game this year, then what one are you going to? I've never been to The Game, but I have to admit that VT is very intriguing. Thoughts?

Been to an Ohio game at the shoe and then the national championship game in AZ vs. Florida. Gotta say if I could go to one game I've been waiting to see THE GAME my whole life. It's like the pilgrimage to Mecca

I'm with you. I was at the GAME in 2006. If I never see the Buckeyes in person again, I'll die happy. Of course that'll never happen.........this year, it's Rutgers!
