Looking at the rankings today, and assuming Oregon beats Utah by at least 10, who should be above tOSU besides Miss. St., FSU, Ore., Bama, TCU, Baylor and ASU? Even after I remove the Scarlet tint from my glasses, I just don't see a logical argument for placing the Buckeyes outside of #8.

I think that #7 is about right for right now. A big win over Minnesota, then consecutive routs of Indiana and TSUN, and I think the voters have a bit of thinking to do. In the end, I still don't think that Ohio State gets in, even if they are the best team in America by then.

Yep, #7 is perfect. And a lot of the national media, that for years have shied away from tOSU are jumping onboard. That convincing win last night will have a far reaching impact on this program going forward. Win out, and I really think tOSU is in the playoff. And if they can play like they did last night, I firmly believe they can beat any team in the country. Just a remarkable job by everyone in this program since that VT debacle.

Two big problems with us getting in at this point. TCU and Baylor don't play each other and both could run the table.
FSU plays nobody with a pulse unless they have to play Duke in a basketball game.
Oregon is on a roll and look great. They do have a couple tough games left though.
ASU is in the same boat as Oregon and could fly up the rankings beating Oregon and UofA at the end.
Alabama is not good enough this year but they will probably get votes just because.
Mss States run is coming to an end. We really need them to beat Bama and then lose to Ole Miss. That would help tremendously

Only thing the Bucks can do, obviously, is win every game the rest of the way convincingly and I think Urban knows that. We'll see I guess.
