I haven't really been counting the years and I'm not gonna go look it up now, but it seems to me Ohio State has dropped the first week in every single poll since... what.. 2008? All after wins, mind you.
Makes me wonder why they bother ranking the Buckeyes as high as they do pre-season in the fucking first place.

I remember one year Ohio State dropped behind USC.. OSU beat someone, USC was on a bye week. Fucking absurd.

Of course, my favorite of all time was frosted tips excuse for dropping OSU to 9 in the final AP poll of 2010...

Of course.. Ken didn't have a problem putting LSU ahead of Arkansas despite Arkansas having beaten LSU.

Though the only poll that matters doesn't come out until Oct. 28, I am pleasantly surprised the pollsters were fair with Michigan State. They didn't punish Sparty too much (dropped 7 spots) for a competitive road loss (final score wasn't indicative of the game) to a top-shelf opponent. #13 is just about right. MSU still has the opportunity to make a gradual climb just like last season.
