Tell Art Briles to schedule better than SMU, Northwestern State, and Buffalo OOC. I hope Sparty beats the hell out of them in the Cotton Bowl.

That has to be the sorriest OOC schedule of any Power 5 team. You don't see Gary Patterson making excuses. He basically said he should have ran the table and didn't. I hope TCU does run the table next year and beats Baylor. Baylor can finish 11-1 again and finish 5th. That would be some funny business.

If the Big XII wants more consideration drop the "one true champion" nonsense (that only made them look like fools), add BYU & Boise State, and set up a championship game like the rest of us. The divisional formats are far from ideal but making your top team win one more battle on a national stage can elevate their profile. Ohio State proved that conclusively last night.

That's just the thing. Everyone keeps calling the Big XII a "Power conference," but that is based on a historical view of Texas and Oklahoma. When Baylor and TCU (Was a mid major 3 seasons ago) run through your conference like a hot knife through butter, and you have to consider BYU and Boise State as potential saviors, YOU ARE NO LONGER A POWER CONFERENCE.

I suspect you are correct here. But I disagree with their reasoning. The Big 10's history and tradition in the rose bowl far outweighs a defunct esseeesee coaching grudge match.

I really don't know which matchup would have made for better ratings and therefore $$$. Pure speculation at this point either way.

I'm sure there's some truth to that. But given that Bama was #1 last week and tOSU hadn't cracked the top 4 all season it's not hard to see how Bama stayed #1 and tOSU finished 4th.
